There were a number of occasions where our players kept on their feet when fouled repeatedly but kept going and we ended up losing the ball.
I hate diving and exaggerating contact but every other team does is it - particularly around the box. It’s particularly galling when one of our players is clearly fouled but no free kick given, then we do exactly the same thing and a foul is given.
There is a definite bias toward the premier league entitled darlings.

Then when we do go down like Hamer did. The ref plays on and they score.

We are damned if we do and damned if we don't.

Wah wah wah. Be happy we got a fucking point. Could've gone very different tonight

Someone skipped basic algebra at school.

If sheffield United = winning (90>7)
If sheffield United = drawing (90>6)
If sheffield United = losing (90+1)

Well each to thier own..

This weekend, we will mysteriously be the only team to have 9 minutes injury time whilst winning..

Just this weekend, let's see eh..

6 mins will be the average, nobody will see 9... We losing that game it's 4..

Hspoy we dropped 2 points, seems it to me mate.
I just think there were a lot of stoppages in the second half, that’s all. The multiple added minutes made sense to me. I’d have loved for us to win. On to Luton on Boxing Day anyway.

Villa winning 1.0 that's 4 mins..

Can't convince me otherwise.. Refs bent and direction from above on who wins..

No var for mcatee elbow, other way around, play stops..

Bent refs, bent league, fuck it off..

He was a twat to go down then instead of trying to get the ball back or sprinting back into position. (Is it called a recovery run nowadays?!) I take your point though, because the opposite way round that would have been given.

Well he was playing for a head injury stoppage as well which by rights we see games stopped every week for.

We're too honest JLT takes an elbow to the face, cut on forehead and stays on his feet. If he goes down there player gets sent off. Great point but feels like a loss in some respects.
It’s not a red card though, he connected with Robinson because their player retaliated to Souza shoving him away and Robinson was caught up in the middle of it.

I’d be disappointed if our players went down in that situation looking for a red for the opposition

Copying this from another thread as it might be more relevant here:

I'll be honest I'm a casual blade the past few years. I mostly watch Burton and Cambridge these days because of work, so I'm coming at this from minimum emotion or bias.

The referee decisions that go against the blades are so frequent and similar that its either because of the horrendous ref pipeline in the UK (I've been through it to level 7 and its shit) meaning they are just shite refs or; because there is intentional systematic forces that push for certain results, as I have seen 'the flow of decisions' go against probably every club in the lowest 6 or 7 apart from Everton, however it does seem particularly worse for united. Of course it could be a combo of shit reffing and corruption

He didn't feel it. He's a rock.

Plucky united staying on their feet and getting......... Fuck all..

Reminds me of Vini Souza almost getting his ankle broken last week

.... And getting fuck all

Some posters on here, ffs

So if he goes down, does it change the angle of where their players arm was going? ie, does it change the fact that their player was trying to push Souza out of the way and not strike Robinson?

Put it this way, if that was one of our players who did that would you accept a red card for it? For what it’s worth, the challenge on Souza was a red card in 1990 without VAR never mind now

Sky, or someone, should keep a unofficial guesstimate at stoppage time. It doesn't seem to have a set pattern but that might be bias speaking. If records were kept of incidents and time added on publicly then fans would learn to accept the new normal. I don't think they actually truly add in the var time most games as that would show it up for what it is.

Wah wah wah. Be happy we got a fucking point. Could've gone very different tonight

You'll be clapping when we get relegated, then be looking back at results like this and Spurs, you'll probs realise they cost us 5 points which would keep us up, still be happy..???

( more to follow as well when we winning)

The reason the top managers complain constantly isn't because there aggrieved it's because they play the ref..

Do you not think this cunt at villa wasn't in the fourth officials ear all the second half..

Come on wake up.. Ffs.

Wouldn't accept it, but we'd get one.. Bent mate wake up..

There’s your answer, you wouldn’t accept it.

Villa could’ve arguably had 2 penalties tonight that they didn’t get, the Souza one for me isn’t a foul but is given most weeks but the Baldock handball was nailed on.

What I’m trying to say is these things even out. If there was a delay in the Robinson foul tonight to issue a red card we wouldn’t have had the phase of play to score either

40 years of seeing us get shafted..

I'm entitled my opinion..

Wait till you've done your time, and if you have and are trying to be philosophical then don't reply to me..

I'm not bothered. It's bent as fuck and I won't have it any other way..

Lets get back to league one and the championship where the referee isn't the fucking star of the show..

Hate this shit bent fucking league..

Yes, the Weir and Adkins years were fantastic and refereeing decisions never went against us

Wolves fans swear blind the pen we got against them was corruption. For me it was a weak one given to us and we moved on. Wolves fans still think the var bods/refs have some conspiracy to topple the might of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

If you take a step back it looks a little silly doesn't it?

That's the point...

The excuse monkeys up in this thread dont see it..

We have record levels of injury time when we are in front..

The league, TV want this.. We wil see 25 minutes of injury time if we were somehow beating Man City etc..

The 18 Minutes at Spurs tells us all we need to know.. That extra time tonight was 6 mins till we score..

Corrupt as fuck..
Really don't think that's true. VAR check took about 5 minutes. There were loads of subs. We scored.... So 9 minutes was no surprise.

If it was corrupt they'd have given one of the x6 or 7(!) VAR penalty checks. Also presumably would have allowed the disallowed goal.

I wasn't surprised by how much got added on.

Just another game made worse by VAR for me. If the pen went against Souza early on then you wouldn't be surprised. See them given all the time when he pushes him then pulls his shirt. Can't for the life of me figure out why Villa had a player sent off last week for touching someone's neck but if you take a mad swing and open a cut on someone's head that doesn't count as violent conduct. Spend five minutes deliberating over a very clear holding of the arm on Foderingham when there's seemingly nothing to think about.

I come away from games more pissed off by VAR than I ever did by refs.

We can’t be playing 12 minutes more at the end of the game. They give 9 which is clearly over-egged and then we end up playing another 3 more on top of that. If they were giving out added time like this last season we’d have never lost at home all season.

If they don’t want to be accused of corruption let’s see a stop clock in the stadium for all to see like other sports

If it was corrupt we wouldn't have gone into the 98 minute 1-0 up.
Corruption is rife in football, back in 2002 Diego maradona said that we word cup was fixed for an Asian team to go a long long way in a world cup in Asia , south Korea and turkey got to semis ( turkey are across 2 continent's) no other Asian team since has got anywhere near , also rewatch Italy v south Korea ,

Maradonna was always renowned for being a reliable guy.
Did nobody else know that tournament was rigged - just him?!

South Korea were excellent in that tournament. They did get a huge decision go their way v Italy. But that kind of thing happens all the time, doesn't have to be corruption.

That was also Turkey's peak with Hakan Sukur wasn't it? Plus they had a relatively easy run to the semis.
