10 games to go

Two teams who get most points out of these 10 games go up.

No time for sentiment, play strongest team available for final 10 games.

All about who has the desire and wants to get promoted the most.

Can Wilder get the players to give 110% for these final 10 games.

Stay tuned and find out!

Just to be pedantic, that is not necessarily correct.

Yeah there's one single scenario where Sunderland get 1 point more but don't go up.. but the overall premise is basically correct

lot hinges on that Burnley game. That and the other 9 🫣

We need a points cushion before that Burnley game, the way we have played against Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland suggest that we’ll lose, we know how to win the other teams but just don’t seem to have cracked how we play against the better ones, I’ve been gearing my mindset up for the playoffs, because this is going to be extremely tight…….great for the neutrals, a nightmare for the three sets of fans.

Apart from when

We beat Sunderland.

I think Coventry will have a major part to play in all this. We play 'em at home, Burnley to play 'em away. I just hope Leeds drop a few more points.

We need to go up and Coventry stay down. That way we have a better chance of stealing their manager. 🙂

Know what you mean but if only football was that simple.

We have a few players close to the injury red line.
If we keep playing our best team……players like Vini Souza, Hamer, Campbell and Moore could be out for 4 weeks.

Where as if we res them every now and again…..then they’re likely to be fit every match.

When we have 3 matches in a week….it’s usually best to pick the teams and tactics with the 3 different types of opposition in mind.

Chance to go three clear tonight with 10 to go for Leeds. The pressure is ours to make tonight

Would need a resident statistician to confirm but I can’t find a single example of a season where any of the top three have finished level on points.

Boro actually played Brighton on the last day of the season and drew 1-1 (a result they knew would take them up, Brighton know they had to win) - while Burnley won away at Charlton.

1992-93

Both WHU and Portsmouth won their games on the last day - Newcastle were already promoted

1987-88

1984-85 (technically 3rd/4th, but there were no playoffs so this is where it was important)

So only once in the last 30 years - and significantly more prevalent under 2 points for a win.

Scratch off a game, now becomes basically a 9 match mini league regardless of what Leeds do.

Remember we only need to keep pace with Burnley (or even 1 point less than them)

Disappointing we had the game in our own hands to stretch the points difference and threw it away... but not the end of the world

Did we through it away? We were second best and lacking any fluency for most of the game regardless of personnel and they scored with 8-10 minutes still to go. They were good. We weren’t. But we still got a point.

Although that was a disappointing result & to concede so late is gutting - the truth is that was a very fair result. Bristol City were best side apart from Leeds & Burnley we have seen. They were set up very well & deserved their point.

Egan-Riley suspended for 3 games for Burnley. Hopefully that disrupts their defence a bit.
What he did was madness, kicked a WBA player some seconds after the final whistle. Right decision and Burnley's appeal will get thrown out

It was Will Lankshear he kicked apparently.

Thankyou agent Lankshear! 🔥

(apparently Lankshear had been giving Egan-Riley a torrid time and running circles around him)

10 game mini league table

Remember as long as we end dont end up more than 1 point behind Burnley then we are fine
