This was posted in a thread about how someone hoped that we beat you at football tonight. No controversy, no talking points or no excuses.

THAT'S why i'm not going.

To be honest, apart from the idiots trying to stoke up some violence between the supporters (and let's face it, both teams have them), I've got no bug to bear with Barnsley's fans beyond the usual Dingle stuff... which is all in fair jest.

Put Simon Davey in front of me however, and I can't promise to be that good natured. The man is a prized tool... and I see that some of your fans also quite concur but probably for different reasons. The Hume incident is the best thing that could've happened to him this season because it took the pressure off him and his position.

He's now free to point out that Hume would've scored you 50 goals and got you into the Premiership... if only it hadn't been for that nasty Sheffield United and Chris Morgan. He keeps mentioning it because it detracts the attention away from himself and his own failings.

What's the excuse gonna be next season?

PS: Yes... feel free to take Brian Howard back :D The only way he's gonna be anywhere near the team is if Quinny is still injured or going to be rested after Saturday.

I don't think that there'll be a next season for him whether we stop up or go down. He's been the most financially backed manager we've had for 10 years, and he's bought various ranks of pigswill. He often is afraid to attack, and worries too much about what the opposition do, instead of concentrating on our own game.

What Mr Davey doesn't care to mention, is that prior to Hume's injury, he was playing on the left hand side of a five man midfield, with Odejayi up front. This reeeaaallly sat well with the average Dingle.

On a similar note, I can't stand Blackwell. I don't know what it is about the bloke, there's a little bit of me inside that wants to slap him with a wet fish. I don't know what it is, but its there. Whether its the "Brian Howard saga" or the "Hume/Morgan saga" or anything else I don't know. His accent is terrible as well.

And by the way, if Jamie Ward starts anything, then will get Mifsud to sort him out. A clash of the titans.

Hi all, although new here have followed the Blades for 35 years plus. I am an expat so can't get to the Lane as much as I would like but being eight hours in advance of the UK I still take pride in listening to the lads on the interweb even for night matches, 2am here now. Come on you RAWW!!!!!!!

Think we got a bit excited after the penalty save and forgot how to defend.

Though Halford and Cotterill had bad games and O'Toole was a bit off, but wasn't too bad.

Thought it was going to stay 0-0.

What happened on the bench?

Well done blades to grind out the win and for not getting dragged into all the Dingle "tactics".

From what I saw, the dingles charged to square up to Blackwell, im sure linz'll be along to give us her closeby view though.

Kozluk, Andranik and Moore were very very lucky.

From the v brief clip on Sky, it looked as if it was the Dingles kicking it off on the bench. Good to hear Moore on the radio btw saying no animosity with Morgs, and wishing us well for the rest of the season. Sounded an ok bloke for a Barnsley player. ;)

Looks as if Da Silva lucky to stay on the pitch after the challenge on Halford? Anyone at the game see it better than the micro-clip on Sky?

Linz is here with her close-by view.

First half... Davey's assistant bum chum kept making elbow gestures to the crowd behind the dug out. I think the fourth official was forced to have a word.

Second half when it all kicked off... Davey and Blackwell were having words when the same bum chum from above decided to storm over and start having a go himself (he's Davey's little bitch obviously). Kozzy then threatened Beattie (I'd love to see that one go head-to-head) and Halford was having none of it either... especially after being smacked in the face. Speed was warned on numerous occasions about having a go at the linesman (justifiably I thought) and was pulled off before he could get stuck in. Davey was just fat and miserable and subject to countless abuse.

I don't think I've been as satisfied with a win all season. Referee was shit scared to give anything against Barnsley because he knew the scrutiny he'd be under. He ought to have grown a pair and stuffed that sheep shagging whinger all the way back to Oakwell.

Small time club, small time mentality, no points.

Never mind eh?

Oh... and thanks to the person who put my Uncle's back window through on Shoreham Street. Much appreciated. Pricks.

Was right in front of us... The original challenge was bad.... and then he had absolutely no reason what so ever to swing his foot back over Halfords head. He also knew full well it was going to hit him and could have easily missed him. He should have had about 4 yellows for simulation too. How someone can claim to have been volleyed in the head three times, but stand straight back up after and not have a mark, I don't know.

Kozluk was very very very lucky not to have gone, dangerously sliding in after the ball and taking the player.

LOL, good report Linz. From hearing Davey on the radio, he was getting upset about us switching from multi-ball to single ball after we went ahead. That's his excuse anyway.

Was his bumboy Ryan Kidd? Was suggested on radio it was him kicking things off.

He wants to ask himself how many balls counts as multiball.... What about the second ball they kept kicking into the crowd, or the one that was on the upper tier for the last 5 mins?

Why would they charge at our bench and hold up the game, about us holding up the game?

From what I saw regard the foul on Halford the player should of gone. He kicked out at Halford while they were on the floor and the linesman saw it so why he didn't tell the ref it should be a straight red I dont know.

Bad ref although not the worse I have seen just didn't have the bottle to send anyone off.

Anyway good win and an alright performance. So a very satisfying result over the dingles.

Or the one JCR was walking on to the pitch with... while moaning about not having a ball.

Erm?

Got nowt against the Barnsley fans... but tonight has really reiterated my hatred of their manager.

The same linesman hardly used his flag the entire match. Mind you, the ref was over-ruling the other one when he was 20 yards closer to the incident anyway!

First Dingle on the radio after the game was calling for a change in manager! :D He does come over as a complete whinging git, has a chip on his shoulder about us the size of a giant redwood. Great to beat them again, now bring on Reading. :D

According to the Barnsley board we should get reported to the FA for cheating. Regarding the multiball system to be honest I didnt see us abandon the multiball system during the game. Saw their players play silly buggers with the ball enough during the game though.

If they go to a ballboy and he hasn't got a ball, what's he supposed to do, magic one out of thin air?

If they hadn't been booting them into the stands at every opportunity, we might have had a few more! As it was, I think an army of fans are currently leaving with match balls under their jumpers!
