Just noticed the kick off for the W******** game has been changed to 12 instead of 3. If I do make the game it means getting up at some ridiculous time now!

Sorry if everyone already knows but I hadn't seen it anywhere before today!

I don't understand, no announcement on the OS, mind there may be in about 2 weeks time.

Thats how up to date that toss site is.

2005-06, two derbies, neither on telly, both 3pm kick offs.

F*ck off SYPD

And for those who can't access...

Ticket allocations and new crowd management arrangements for the Sheffield Wednesday fixture at Bramall Lane, have been announced.

Supporters should note that although not been selected for live broadcast, the game will have a noon kick-off time.

The following plans have been drawn up after extensive discussions between the local authority's Safety Advisory Panel, South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield United.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have been allocated 3,000 seats in the lower tier of the Halliwells Stand (Bramall Lane end), and new crowd management measures will be implemented.

These include:

* No occupancy of the first three rows of seating of the Halliwells Upper Tier

* Installation of eight new CCTV cameras to monitor the crowd

* Enhanced police and steward presence at both front and rear of Halliwells upper tier

* Installation of extensive netting (to prevent items dropping onto spectators below) from the foot of the Halliwells Upper Tier

* Crowd behaviour messages to be issued on the Sheffield United website and in match day programmes, infringements in the upper tier of Bramall Lane subject to prosecution and lengthy match bans

* Tickets will only be sold to supporters already registered on the SUFC database

* New RFI tickets will be issued to visiting supporters. These include an embedded electronic microchip and will replace barcode tickets

* The fixture will be an ALL TICKET match and tickets will not be sold on the day of the game under any circumstances.

A statement from United said: "We have worked with the authorities to draw up this package of measures, they may seem tough but we are determined to ensure a trouble-free match where supporters of both sides can enjoy a Sheffield derby in a sporting and safe atmosphere.

"Acting on the advice given that we could not segregate the upper tier of the Halliwells Bramall lane stand, this was the only practical option open to us. Similar measures will also be in force for the forthcoming South Yorkshire derby games against Barnsley and Doncaster."

Pigs on about crying about 3000 tickets

some on about boycotting, well im sorry but who the fuck do they think they are?

when the likes of man utd go to liverpool, man city etc.. only get 3000 tickets

i dont care who you are, if a club can sell the tickets to the home support it should, man utd only got 3000 when they came to the lane, they didnt go off on one.

fucking arrogant wankers

Hmm. Seeing as though the main complaint Owls fans had was piss being thrown at them, what exactly is the netting going to achieve?

I don't think their main argument is with the numbers - in fact didn't they struggle to sell out? - it's more their dislike of being pelted and covered in piss which I can fully understand. What the alternative is, I don't know. Halving the stand down the middle maybe? Whatever, I do feel for the fans to be honest.

Fuck 'em. They can't sell enough tickets to fill their shit-hole of a ground, but they don't give us extra ones. I hope they do boycott it and they instead sell the seats to Blades. That'd be ace.

I don't think it's really workable.

While I haven't been up there, I assume that the only way to segregate the upper tier is from the end of the new corner onwards. If that's the case, we couldn't really have a half and half on the upper tier as the gangways wouldn't line up with the concourse segregation (too many people and not enough exits).

The easiest thing to do in future if this is going to be an on-going issue with away fans, would be invest in some of those shutter/garage door contraptions that other grounds use and put them all along the upper tier. Then we could segregate as, when and how much we needed with netting on the seats.

Just heard from my Wednesday mate who seemed to be saying the same things, they should have more tickets and it would be a better atmosphere. Why the hell should we give away seats that could be sold to Blades fans. Ridiculous.

they need to man up, its only a bit of piss, happens at other grounds all over the country, what makes them think they are special?

I've never had piss thrown at me and I would complain considerably if I did.

It's unjustifiable for me.

They are also saying it would hit us in the pocket if they sent them back (how?), and we should only recieve tickets for their lower-tier next season - the flaw in this argument being, they need the money from us at Hillsborough, and they can't even sell the other three sides out, so how would they manage a forth?

Agreed. There are some things that are just over the top. Banter's one thing, fighting yet another, but hurling urine at the opposition is just disgusting.

Grunters could'nt even fill the sty for the derby against us again, just cos we can fill our ground is not our prob. Jealous pigs complain about owt.

Ditto. I think calling their fans fucking arrogant wankers for being annoyed at the prospect of getting piss on their heads is a bit uncalled for. It seems we're trying to do something to prevent it but only time will tell if it's enough. I do think it was massively short-sighted not to consider that it was a problem in the making last season.

rather than having extra police ,stewards ,cctv etc , dont give the piggy bastards any tickets at all . im sure enough blades would turn out for this game to fill the lane , and it would work out cheaper for the club :swfc:

Notts forest get away with all the spitting etc.
If they dont want to be spat on etc why do they come. I bet most of them have been to rock gigs before and had pissed chucked on em and everything but not complained.

If they want to be protected, let em pay for one of the waterproof sheets to be pulled out over all there heads like on a shop front,

Piss-taking as far as the grunters, L**ds and anyone else is concerned is an absolute must.

Piss-throwing at anyone is the lowest of the low and cannot be condoned, excused or tolerated. Scan the CCTV live, first incident of throwing march them to the back of the stand and soak them in stinking cat's urine :emmy:

Should curtail all such incidents!!

Agreed, its a disgusting act and should be punished accordingly.;

I've been to many rock gigs and festivals and can honestly say I have never been soaked in piss and would go fucking mental if I was.

That would be cool. Basically, I say "fuck 'em" and anyone else who moans about ticket allocation. Segregation is always the first priority but why should they have the entire Bramall Lane End?
I'm sure if their home crowds were as good as ours they would lower our allocation but it isn't, it's wank and they give us what tickets they do because they're money-grabbing greedy bastards like most other football clubs.
For the match at the Turd-hole earlier in the season they should have just had their shitty kop and gave us the rest of the ground. Then it would have been a fucking sell-out.

Has any pig thought that the reason that we don't give them an upper tier is because it would be dangerous when they all start bouncing about like strait-jacketed gimps? (Unstrap me please, I want to clap).

Fuck 'em.

No, but theres not a big fuss kicked up about it everytime we play them.

United shud have issued a statement:

On Health and Safety issues the pigs aint gettin any tickets.

they need to man up, its only a bit of piss, happens at other grounds all over the country, what makes them think they are special?

Come on, don't be a tail.

It's not so much about the allocation, which is shite. But it's to do with the fact that the nob heads above throwing piss, bottles, coins etc on us.

I will be going, simply because i want to see the football match. But i completely agree all our tickets should be sent back. Last time was disgusting. Fook off SUFC and SYP.
