d) Howards frigging about with Captain Blade at HT:- What if he'd got seriously injured? They shouldn't really be pissing about like that. Who else is gonna wear that costume if he gets seriously injured?
Hahahaa!!! :D:D

I've gone with Cotts, bless him. Looked proud as punch and it was great to see him grab the ball for the penalty and repeatedly point at himself. No one was getting that ball off him. Excellent all round game from him, defended well.

Monty was phenominal. Jesus. Some of his through balls down the line were world-class!

Seen a few people saying 1st half was crap but I remember saying to my Dad that even without the goal, they'd have got a hearty round of applause from me at the half-time whistle.

Oh, football. Welcome back.

For the first twenty minutes or so, I think everybody in the ground (players included) were still chuntering about "It's being an obscene time to watch/play football", and "Those last two vodkas were a bad idea, especially as they were half bottles", and "I never knew that AM on a Sunday could exist without it being an extension of Saturday night", and stuff.

The rest of the half I still think was pretty average, but we were definitely better than them, and just deserved the lead.

We played some lovely stuff in the second half, and yes, we had some luck, but it's about time! Can't fault any of them, but I gave MOTM to Cotts too.

Webber has said that he was shit... and I applaud his honesty :D

Webbs applauds fans

Danny Webber admitted he was relieved to open the scoring against Birmingham after describing his performance prior to that as 'having a stinker'.

Webber fired the Blades ahead on the stroke of half-time, converting a Daruis Henderson knockdown, and the striker now feels it is time for United to push on:

"It was good to get the goal because until then I was having a stinker. Saying that, I have been finding my feet again playing more up front and contributing to a winning team.

"Every result in and around us went our way so the three points was massive really and now we must kick on."

The former Manchester United trainee believes the Blades have what it takes to edge themselves into contention for a top two finish, whilst reserving special praise for the Bramall Lane faithful after their vocal backing at the weekend:

"We must look to win our game in hand and get on the heels of Birmingham. We know it will be tough but the lads are prepared to graft and make it happen.

"All we can do is keep winning matches and look to continue our excellent run away from home.

"The fans were excellent on Sunday. The game meant they were behind us from the off and the players responded to that."
