The fans are at loggerheads, we’ve lost the best manager in my lifetime, we now have 10 games potentially with Paul Heckingbottom in charge, Neil Lennon is second favourite.

Depends, football is an entertainment industry. I love the Blades but I’ve got shitloads of things I can do at the weekend that don’t involve leaving my wife and daughter at home. If I’m not enjoying it then I might not go as often (although I’d buy a ST all the same).

Its not Oyston at Blackpool, the mad Chinese lot at Wigan, or Chansiri at Wednesday. Our owners and manager haven’t seen eye to eye and things have been bubbling all year. There’s been obvious signs of disagreement and we don’t even know if he’s been sacked or walked at this point.

It’s a decision you don’t like, but this is your club. If it takes a manager leaving for you to cut ties and not go anymore maybe you weren’t that bothered in the first place.

I've said "I'm done" stacks of times, then I've walked out of the box office after buying a season ticket saying "why the fuck did I just do that?" But I'm still here and always will be. People say that when they're pissed off.

As per my last post, I’m not revelling in this at all. I’m quite gutted actually and I’ve felt empty about it. But that doesn’t stop me understanding why the decision has been made and thinking it’s for the best for all parties.

The internet these days is full of arguments that need to be polar opposites. There’s no middle ground, no nuance. And I’d like to think that’s where I sit at the moment.
I certainly am not threatening to not go again because we’ve parted ways with a manager, no matter what he’s done.

And a good stance to take regards the board imo; but I think the way it’s all played out by CW in clearly leaked articles and his own press conferences has been really unsavoury and this was inevitable.

Well said. It baffles me. Relegation to D4 was pretty horrific. Surely this is what being a football fan is all about. You take the very rough with odd bits of smoothness. Unless you support one of the big boys. At least we go on a ride with United. There are some very dull clubs who go nowhere for decades. This will all have blown over in time.

I find it amusing that given the amount of 'bed wetters' jibes which have been thrown at anyone who criticises Wilder that the same 'loyal' fans are going to stop supporting their football club because a manager leaves.
