I know they’re deluded and in general a bit dim but has anyone actually heard a Blade say this? Or are they all lying to each other?

I’ve not heard a single person say we can afford to lose. I don’t think it, no one I know thinks it. We have to be as consistent as Norwich and Leeds.

This summed up the typical pig for me during last season.

We went to a restaurant in Walkley and ended up in the Rose House on South Road. We were on the slide and had just lost to Wolves 3-0 and some pig was in there talking to us, when he found out we were United fans he started taking the piss in that horrible drunken dopey Sheffield drawl about how we'd lost

It seemed completely lost on him that Wendy had been battered at home the same day by Birmingham, he had no idea and didn't care either, but just kept going back over the same shit about how crap United are and they've lost again, trying to wind us up.

In the end one of the lads in our group lost patience with him and told him to STFU or he'd get his head put through the window.
I could relate to this as extreme as it sounds.

If you're going to try to take the piss at least be a keen fan of the other lot so some banter can be had. If you aren't a keen fan and you haven't a clue what you're talking about STFU because you're the worst kind of fan ever to have to listen to talking bolox
