I don't have any.I hope you are kind to your grandkids![]()
Does anyone really think we really got 20m for Illyman….doubt it….I’d be surprised if we have got 10m
Think we are the only club ever to get promoted and start the new season with a weaker team/squad than the one we went up with….
I think you're spot on.
Hi Stegosaurus here,
A tongue twister
The potless prince will pilfer the payment
I'm not sure any money will change hands for trusty as arsenal still owe money on the Ramsdale deal,So the original budget was £20m.
According to the propaganda machine we've got £20m for Ndiaye, all of which is being reinvested.
Six million already spent on Traore and Slimane, and £5m more on Trusty.
That leaves £29m still to spend - is that how everyone else sees it?
And do you think we'll spend £29m between now and the end of the window?
Still need another CB through the door imo it’s fine if they’re a developmental player but we could do with improving on Bash as first man off the bench. Someone will get injured or suspended next year.Trusty looks to be through the door (albeit it’s taking an eternity to confirm it) which sorts the defence out
Souza is heavily linked and would add some much needed bite to the midfield. We need to see something positive regarding this transfer sharpish!
We desperately need some movement in the creative player market. The lack of rumour in this department is a huge concern for me. The season kicks off in 9 days!
I agree... but I feel it's a case of beggars can't be chooses! I'd be happy with Bash & JLT as the back up options if it means we can focus our attention on a 'marquee' #10 signing.Still need another CB through the door imo it’s fine if they’re a developmental player but we could do with improving on Bash as first man off the bench. Yeah I think we’re in between a rock and a hard place atm we need bodies just to get through the season with suspensions and injuries and we need quality time to start pulling some rabbits out of hats. Fingers crossedI agree... but I feel it's a case of beggars can't be chooses! I'd be happy with Bash & JLT as the back up options if it means we can focus our attention on a 'marquee' #10 signing.

be such a shame if we only spend 38mSo the original budget was £20m.

That’s nearly two Brewster’s worth.I'd be very happy if we spend 38m
Not quite! That’s nearly two Brewster’s worth.
That'll be his ankle fooked if he gets in a roll, some of those crusty rolls are quite hard you knowNot quite!
On a side note, I really hope Brewster comes good this season. Hope he gets back in the team and gets on a roll!
I guess Hecky knows all this too !!If the Prince/Giransyacusa/Tony Soprano/Bettisimo provide no significant proportion of the Ndiaye money to PH and get away without a shoes-off demo behind the SS , it will be the biggest capitulation of trusting mugs to an evil regime in political history.
I am sure that PH intends to use our allowance of 2 loans from PL clubs.
But if we don’t get some quality permanents in , we are just exacerbating the contracts cliff-edge off which we will fall next summer.
We simply have to get some permanents in or the squad will implode in 2024 , relegated or not.
Whether those permanents are free agents or free transfers or cheap transfers or expensive transfers doesn’t matter in the sense of having a numerically viable squad in 2024.
The quality of those permanents does matter - they need to be in the first eleven.
We all know the positions required and they’ve been endlessly ventilated on here so I am not going to repeat them.
I've been educated on here about this.. the proof or the pudding will be in the eating, not in the pudding!I think we’ll probably do deals that total around 25 million including loan fees before the end of the window but obviously we’ll probably only pay about half that in upfront fees.
That should probably get us the required 6/7 players whether they’re up to snuff well the proof will be in the pudding.
just need him to prove his valuation , save us a bombThat’s nearly two Brewster’s worth.
Nobody is giving us cash for LoweBased on timings, I think the Trusty and Souza (as an alternate for Doyle) deals were lined up irrespective of what happened with Ndyiaye. I suspect that was it for our original plan apart from opportunistic loans.
If so, I'm hoping we can blow the Ndyiaye money on a decent creative attacker and bolstering what we can get in terms of loans and signing fees for good frees.
Outside of that, I would try to sell Lowe to bring in some more cash if RND is still alive. This could fund competition for Wes (eg the Plymouth lad) so we can get Amissah a decent loan. Those two could be our future Tracey and Kelly if we played our cards right.
I hope my dick grows another 6 inches overnight but it's not going to happen. Not quite!
On a side note, I really hope Brewster comes good this season. Hope he gets back in the team and gets on a roll!
