Do any of you actually trust him with 20 million quid? I bloody dont.

Honestly? No

WHU - Gabbidon, Collins, Green, Tevez lol
Charlton - Young, Reid, Marcus Bent (nice return for him

Really?

Yes Really, I think a decent CB is priority for us. Jags and Morgan/Lucky/Killa are an ok Partnership, but I'd prefer someone better partnering Jags at the back.

As for Bent, I do have some fond memories of him, and I think he can still do a decent job in the right team and at a decent price.

i have to agree with sharpy on not trusting him with 20million.

It's a hell of alot of money to build a decent premiership squad.

Wouldn't want Beattie, there are many players better than him im sure.

A player i would also like at the lane is Volz from fulham, have always liked him!

"I just wish we didnt release how much money we had in press"
its with being a P.L.C.

we have hulse when he gets back so dont needs loads and loads of strikers without offloading any. if WHU go down id love harewood. strong player and he will get goals.

Also ive always been a fan of danny murphys, would love him in the midfield as we need someone in there to play the ball, but would wages be a problem?

no i dont trust warnock with the 20million, warnock will pay £3 million for a £1million rated player.

barton in trouble at man city... worth a try :p

Bullard from Fulham would be a good buy, if Fulham go down. I'd love to see a player of the quality of Alan Smith, but it's highly unlikely he'd leave Man U for anybody in this country. Phil Neville would probably want too much money, but despite most opinions I rate him, it is strange that he gets so much grief for no particular reason other than he used to be at Man U.
Beattie would be a waste of money if he was free.
Koumas? Possible.
Brunt? We need quality players, not two-bob hoofers.

neville won't leave everton anyway, he's their captain and doubt they will want to get rid.

Danny Murphy may be a good purchase and Bullard would be a very good signing!

Have you even seen him play this season?

He's as good if not a better player than Keith, CKR and Quinny from what Ive seen and heard of him, he gets the ball and crosses it, what we need on the left.

Bullard? Oh yes, would be a fantastic signing. He seems to be good for team morale as he is always smiling and seems a very team orientated person. He is to me, basically how I would be if I was a footballer, like a big kid enjoying the dream.

"from what Ive seen and heard of him"

sharpy watches wendy :p

say a million on brunt cuz hes there best player. why not spend another 1.5million on a proven premiership player?

Brunt's a reasonable player. That's all.

HAHA

You know that's just a comment because your a 'blade'

dat hulse u got is wank cos e's a blade, sort of thing

Brunt has sheer class and anyone with half a footballing brain can see that!

He would be a great signing for you, by far one of the better players in our league

I think Sproule from Hib's could be a good signing.
No no no. Hes woeful. Only got real pace thats all. His technique is awful.

Scotty Brown would be by far the better option. He looks like a Gazza type player.

As for the players being mentioned:
David Nugent: Yes if the price is right.
Lee Hendrie: Yes
Alan Smith: Yes. But we won't get him
Phil Neville: Yes.
Jlloyd Samuel: No.
Jason Koumas: Yes providing west brom dont go up.
James Beattie: Maybe. Type of player Warnock likes to buy. Someone who was once good and then try to get their career back on track.
Luke Young: Yes.
Andy Reid: Yes. What we need in CM.
Danny Gabbadon: Yes.

He is a decent player but theres no proof he would be a qality signing player

and sheer class is abit too far i feel as i said before its a different level, with players of far better caliber than him!

and who ever said he is better than keeeeeeeeeeeef come on really:eek:

Keef is awesome!

Keef IS awesome. He's also at the twilight of his career. I think Brunt would be a great asset perfectly balancing our threat down both wings. Brunt has been accused of being lazy but with the right manager behind him (currently Laws, maybe Warnock in the near future) and some great inspiration to learn from in Keef, he is a good bet for developing into a quality Premiership player.

Also, so far as accurate 60-70 yard cross-field passes are concerned, that's the kind of thing that migrates fairly easily throughout divisions - taking players on and having the space and time on the ball is where he might struggle but with the right coaching there's no reason why he can't make the step up. (and like last season, I've seen Wednesday 6 or 7 times this season as well as on the box - he has improved to no end under Laws' management - isn't he also their top scorer for 2 seasons running??)

I have to agree brunt is probably the answer down the left side for us.

Certainly worth a punt as i think we may struggle to find anyone else better plus wednesday could do with the £££. :)

Luke Young: No
Andy Reid: Yes
Danny Gabbidon: Possibly
Danny Murphy: Yes but would want a Liverpool wage.
Marlon Harewood: Yes definatly despite him looking like an alien. :)

well if a sheffield united fan thinks that cant be bad really i trust our judgement

But is it the perfect ball more times than the one that ends up in the stand thats all the concerns me with him and i havent seen him enough to pass judgement on that

Fair comment Tino. I think with Brunt in the side, chances wouldn't be so much at a premium and you can forgive someone for blazing 4 shots into Staple's carpark if the 5th busts the net!

I can indeed forgive a player making 4 mistakes if the fifth results in a goal/chance, but the majority do not seem to share this stance. Paul Ifill is a perfect example and so is CKR, both struggle/struggled to success because our fans do not tolerate this kind of player.

Brunt, coming from Wednesday, would be given even less of a chance and so i doubt that he would succeed at bramall lane.

brunt, tbh, what ive seen of him... has been shit. he scores long range screamers abit but you dont have that time in the premiership. we can be doing with lazy players and especially coming from wendy as jodman says.

Matthew Etherington would be a better signing IMO.

Ask a West Ham fan's views on Etherington this season, if you think Brunt is lazy wait till you hear what they say about him.

like someone said earlier... warnocks influence might help him? someone mentioned that kilbane from wigan?

I'm also a fan of Etherington but I think a £1.5 million bid will easily snap up Brunty. Cheapish Wages. Good player good crosser and a powerful left foot.

Etherington had the potential to take the england team by storm, but he never realised it, will cost around £3million a lot higher wages.

end of day you get what you pay for.

etherington is a better player than brunt, costs more but has prem experience. Mcsheffry.... should have signed him.
routledge?

I'm gonna kill someone...... Double posted so edited one and now the other has disappeared lol.

Anyways, if you are buying a player from a financially troubled club like the owls, you will get him cheaper than if you was getting him from a club with a benefactor like WHU

I'd go for Brunt for the following reasons...... Cheaper wages, Cheaper transfer money, unknown quantity could trick a few prem defences. he is obviously happy living up north. younger, less injury prone.

Anyways...... I think we should sign this Kaka, he seems an ok signing :D

what are you talking about? he's a load of kak (ya see what i did there muahaha!). Not good enough for us!

I think Brunt may be a decent signing. Could surprise people.

What about the egyptian striker at tottenham Ahmed mido hes quite good and doesnt get alot of games for them possibility

Mido decent player but another 1 who likes to spit his dummy out and get mardy when he dosnt get his way.

Wouldnt mind us going in for players we should of got last season. Although most of them are at teams that have got promoted.

I'd rather sign Steve Claridge than Mido, he is absolute toss.
