Fair point. If I remember rightly, especially in the game at the Liberty, they matched us up and we looked toothless. I presume he will probably do the same, but the difference is this time around is that were a different team the the last one he played. Dropping the No10 in favour of a midfield 3 gives us more bite in the middle so I don't think they will dictate the game as much as Swansea did that night.

The big question for me is whether we plump for Freeman or Besic in place of Fleck. Freeman's quality on the ball makes us more dangerous going forward but Besic defensive strength might be needed against their very decent midfield. Tough call.

They worked very hard to get to the top of their profession as footballers. What they have done to be parachuted into their roles as pundits is the very antithesis of hard work, and it fucking shows.

They’ve been doing it for thirty odd years, it’s very competitive. I’m not saying they’re doing a good job now but I’ve found in life the only people that get handed something on a plate are lottery winners and those with very wealthy parents. The rest of us tend to have to put the hard yards in at some point.

Sheffield United are five points better off than Brighton, and six places higher in the table, but the Seagulls have been playing very well this season.
The Blades have still not been beaten away from home in eight league games this season, and I am sure plenty of people will think they will continue that run here.
But I think different - and this is how stupid I am - they are obviously going to get beaten away from home at some point, so I am going to back them to lose pretty much until they do.

I thought his prediction this week was quite funny. That said, as someone being paid by the BBC, he should act like an expert and put in a genuine prediction. This is the equivalent of backing the 100/1 horse every race in the hope that this might be the one.

Bookies have us at 5-2 for the away win according to one on the radio earlier. Probably Paddy Power but I wasn’t really paying attention until I heard him say ‘Sheffield United’.

It's going to be steeply downhill from here, Blades, if the "World's foremost experts in both sports and artificial intelligence" who produced, "a ground-breaking prophecy of the forthcoming season" are correct.

If the "honest, credible prediction" that is the BT Script of the season is to be proved right, we'll need to win 1, draw 1 and lose 18 of our remaining fixtures to finish with 32 points.

Looks like being a grim rest of season lads and lasses...
 
The quality that the Hornets have got in their squad was never in doubt, and now Pearson has got them playing too.
Their luck is maybe starting to turn a bit as well. I can see them going to Bramall Lane, being competitive, and leaving with the points.
That is going to delight the legions of Blades fans who have pointed out to me where Sheffield United are in my league table (bottom of page) compared to reality.
When I tip them to lose it usually means they will win - but I am going to get one right one day.


Keep going Lawro, absolutely will not accept he has got us wrong! I do love that he predicts a loss and we win, so feeling a bit more relaxed about Thursday now!

Sadly, for license payers, this is what passes for entertainment at the BBC. Despite his stellar career with Liverpool, he is being used as click bait, with Z list celebs, to wind up the population of this forum.
His total lack of respect for football, and his lack of real understanding of same, means there is no other role for him at the BBC. Same goes for Crooks with his team of the week.
Given the responses on here, its a strategy that is working well for the BBC. Don't you find it in the least bit amusing that, a journeyman full back knows more about how the game works, than these two overpaid, overhyped clowns?

Wednesday fan Richard Hawley is in the same prediction suggesting a 4-0 win for me (and that he’s enjoying seeing us do well).
 

What happens when he predicts us to win every week and we start getting beat ... Will you all be happy that he's picking us to win...
