Must admit I stayed behind out of morbid curiosity to see how they were received and how many stayed behind, was shocked how many actually clapped the bunch of wankers.

I wonder if the players even feel embarrassed? I genuinely don't know if they do.

There were about 2k left behind, 2/3rds of which clapped them walking round. The lowest finish in 30 years should've either resulted in a stadium FULL of boos or a completely empty Bramall lane to walk round.

Brainwashed doesn't even cut it, players and those fans alike.

From what I've seen there was nowhere near 2k, and some of those that stayed were there to tell the players exactly what they thought.

Even if it was 2 , it's a 32k stadium. There were empty seats all over. There was definitely a message being sent. This season has been a nightmare.

I stayed, and I don't think there was 2k there. More like a few hundred, certainly not much over 1k.

Many booed and vented their anger, many just watched, but there was still a disturbing number clapping. I'd love them to explain themselves.

I also stayed out of morbid curiosity. Maybe the overwhelming majority did the same.

If you were counting the ones who purely stayed to clap the players, we must surely be talking double figures.

I think the message was loud and clear Woody it was an empty stadium the ones that stayed don't really effect the overall feeling of the fans
Adkins knows he has to deliver next season . I have stayed with Adkins with the signing of Hammond, it will not happen now ,today was the last straw ,
If he values his job ,no way can he sign him, the atmosphere was toxic given the mistakes Hammond made.Substituted at half time ,ime sure we won't see him again.The last thing we want is to start next season with a bad atmosphere . Adkins knows this so Hammond is history .
Hammond will ime sure find a club but it's just not worked out for him and us.A big summer lies ahead for Adkins,after today the retained list will be very interesting.

Adkins has done absolutely nothing to even try to get the crowd on his side, infact I'd say right from the start he seems to have gone out of his way to get most peoples back up by making McEveley captain, and I'm being more than kind when I say his signings have been no more than average....

I remember as a young 'un invading the pitch no matter what. Because we were Blades and that's what we did.

I don't know if my zero desire to do so is due to my age or the fact that my club is a pale imitation of what it once was. But I find it sad either way.
