Make United Fun Again
Brian may be a sad old bore, but I wonder how many fans want the same as him? 50 percent?
If 50% of us wanted Adkins and the board to go, he wouldn't be stood on his tod would he?

You're quite certain he's Balborough blade then?
Categorically not, its too cold to protest as I am not a proper blade (apparently)

Very far off the mark, I'd imagine. Maybe 10% is closer.Brian may be a sad old bore, but I wonder how many fans want the same as him? 50 percent?
I wish David Cameron would fuck off, but I'm not stood outside Downing St every day with a placard
What were the results of that 'Adkins out poll' the other week, anyway? Last I checked after 100-odd votes it was at about 25%.
But there are relatively frequent and very well-attended protests on the streets of London against Cameron and his government, because many people want the same thing.
A few decent results against the run of the season has only added to that as well. It's a mixture of apathy, falling in to the trap of the smokescreen that a tiny minority of decent performances gets you and the old back drop "can't keep changing managers". Not one of those has any substance or explanation behind them as to why they should allow for a failing manager to continue failing.Adkins has got no right to expect to be in a job come August next season. He's done a shocking job.
So many fans are just apathetic now and don't have the will for another change.
Adkins literally has nada in the +ve column but most of us just can't be arsed anymore and he'll be the lucky recipient.
They protest to Cameron to get Brian as Manager? Blimey and i just thought he was a nobody in sheffield
"Ring Ring" : Hi Sean, yes, any chance you could pop along with Brian to Downing Street.
Sean, Sean, you still there? Sean.... Sean. SEAN.... SEAN.
Sean says "no"

Not that bothered is he , I drove past this afternoon about 10 minutes after it started raining ,the placards against the wall ,with no dickhead holding it.I wound my window down and shouted at him "Brian, for fuck sake, give it a fucking rest" and drove off leaving him shouting something I didn't catch and wasn't particularly arsed about
he's enjoying a pint in the platinum suite getting a front row seat for tonight....Not that bothered is he , I drove past this afternoon about 10 minutes after it started raining ,the placards against the wall ,with no dickhead holding it.

I see your point, but the wreckage of a season is still a wreckage of a season. It's important not to let a few results make you lose sight of that because it starts to wander down the path of more and more acceptance, however small. It's important to hold the season in the same regard as it was before the little run, because as I say it's been a poor season on the whole. While taking yours (& Champers) point about apathy, & that about weariness regarding changing managers, I don't really go for the "getting hoodwinked" argument about a "tiny number" of recent performances.
Reckon it's fair to say that a trend has developed of increasingly improved performances over the past couple of months. Not that the line on the graph's been going seamlessly upwards - there have been wobbles - but that trend towards improvement still exists.
Even so, is it sustainable (after Baptiste goes back to playing at the higher level he deserves to be at, say)? Is it going to be built upon by transfer activity (& conditioning work) over the summer, or will it be stalled by the dead hand of the Technical Committee &/or by Che &/or Billy being auctioned off?
Still significant concerns existing, but surely some grounds for hope in those sturdy green shoots of recent weeks growing out of the previous wreckage of a season?

The more you look at the season as the bigger picture and know it for what it is, the more likely it'll get the extremity of a solution to match, and it does require extreme measures and large scale changes in terms of a solution. Acceptance (maybe small) loses sight of that need for the measures it requires, which isn't good. It is pointless to a degree as the fans mindset alone counts for nothing, but what it certainly can do is influence the mindset of those in charge.
