Because we've finished high in the league (3rd, 5th, 7th, 5th) but fucked up the play offs three times.

Good find Nuddy but it's probably because the good sides that come to our league end up back in the Championship or something, whereas we seem to like this league

Exactly.

Doncaster, Charlton, Yeovil, Rotherham, Bolton, Bristol City, Brentford, Preston, Wolves, Barnsley, Exeter, Wycombe, Chesterfield... (the list is endless)

They've all either been up, down, both or gone up and struggled in the past five seasons.

We've won a lot of matches in that time but just not enough to achieve automatic promotion.

We have always won consistently in our bread and butter league games, but failed to gather them in any one 46 games stint between august and may , we win a lot in a calendar year but just miss out in a normal season , when we were in the championship we won far more than we lost and did get it right on 4 occasions one automatic and 3 3rds

Wednesday have only got to the prem once the last season 3rd went up automatically , jammy gits

Us getting in the play offs is far more likely than Leicester winning the Premier League was at the start of the season.
