How a club who sing a famous song about chip butties haven't yet been sponsored by Harry Ramsden's is anyone's guess. That's a marketing executive's wet dream right there.

Never has the phrase "be careful what you wish for" been more apt :)

On the plus side though, might mean some decent fodder in the ground!

Oh aye. It'll look great when they're all singing 'he'll shag who he wants' with Harry Ramsdens all over their shirts.

Being more serious, how many pigs etc would start boycotting them if they sponsored us? Personally, I don't know but it does scare people who make these kind of decisions.

I like this one, would like an away kit using this design. Yellow instead of white, black instead of red and red instead of blue? Photoshop experts do your bit!!

And this one - I think I prefer this as it's not too complicated. This too will almost certainly be better than the end product.

That right there is the perfect and ultimate Sheffield United shirt.

Only without the sponsor. If I ever decide to buy the club for a quid like the prince did (alright half of it) I'll do away with the sponsors full stop. I'll pay the going rate for sponsorship each season to have no sponshorship on the shirt at all.

Should be able to afford it, the way our status is dropping it'll only be a weeks wages..

I really hope Adidas for once bring out a decent home shirt. I've no faith in them though to be honest. Has anyone else noticed how crap Sunderland's home shirt is this season! Its a white shirt with two red stripes on either side. Even worse than out kit this season!

Yes. They thought they could dictate to the club when they're nothing

Unfortunately they were right, because this club doesn't have a spine.

They got their tiny little bit of attention by taking the moral high ground, bowing to what the mob wanted them to do like the non entities they are, AND they've remained our sponsor in the meantime. It leaves a sour taste. Looking forward to seeing the back of them.

I know it isn't Adidas, but I like the style of Stoke's home kit from this season.

I like that Stoke shirt. Would be happy if we had one similar for the next three years.

Be nice to look and play like Stoke , that time I think they best us 3-0 at the lane some year back . As usual men v boys , with Land of the Giants .

Football is supposedly a simple game . Be nice to start having a kit we are proud of and can identify with , hopefully everything else in Adkins world will follow suit.

UTB.

No it isn't. They are still recognisably playing in red and white stripes.

What's wrong with it? Plenty of red on it and personally I hate all red sleeves

No kit has a chance to establish itself nowadays, because even if it's really popular it'll be changed every bloody season. Then in no time at all you've forgotten what season it was from. I'd like kits to be at least for two seasons, certainly for clubs like us who won't make millions in shirt sales every year. If you're Man United, fair enough, let the glory hunters and Asians line your pockets, but I wish we didn't feel the need to change it every year, especially if it's a good one. If they were changed every two years then more would buy them because they'd actually be worth buying. The price could also be put up a bit.

We'll have to disagree with that mate, I know what I see particularly when I watch match of the day it just looks like a white shirt with two red stripes - which if you look at it closely is exactly what it it. It does have a much thinner red stripe either side of the main two red stripes but I don't class them as proper stripes like the Bob Booker one you see on my photo.

My point is I don't have faith in Adidas to produce a red and white traditional home shirt. The current Southampton one is better I must admit but if I'm being critical I don't like to see solid red or white sleeves like that does. I know we can't always have a really traditional home shirt every season but you look back to the Umbro kits of the late 80's and early 90's, they were different but they were all red and white stripes without massive areas on the sides or arms etc or back of one colour.

That said they change the kits every season now which doesn't help, and because of that I only buy them for a tenner at the end of the season anyway. That also brings me back to Adidas, because at the end of last season I went to buy last season's home shirt but then found it was £20 for just a month of the season left. Maybe this season is different but I would never buy this season's home shirt it just is truly awful as a home shirt and they should have made it the away shirt. I think this season's kit just sums up the whole season to be frank!

as you all know i'm very superstitious about this.. we have to have a proper red and white striped shirt with the red stripe down the middle and the stripes the same thickness. thankyou. Adidas.. that is 'all' you have to do ffs
i'm sick of trying to relate to Poland on the pitch. it may be psychological.. but there is a lot of psychology going on.
on the subject of Adidas. it could be worse. have you seen some of the latest Nike offerings? :D

Regarding Ched last season
Ive no issue in what they said/did. Ive much more of an understanding with them than I have with either Jess Ennis or charlie webster. They are a family run business not some huge mega car dealing conglomerate. If you were in their position would you run the risk of giving your family business a bad name because of the some idiotic footballer. At that time wether you on a personal level agreed with the ruling or not Ched was a convicted rapist and the company was well within their rights to defend their own reputation. Much more so than Charlie wWebster for example
