Actually I was, and at most away games all season, at Shrewsbury we played alot better and won, reason being that the effort and desire was there, but again you like aload of other Blades fans think we are better than we are. I guess to put it in simple terms for you as you must be a simpleton " as a Blades fan my expectations are obviously alot higher than yours".

I dont judge players on stats i judge them on their ability to influence games and inspire their team mates particularly in the big games
Thats what the best players do the stand out ones
I dont think we have any (including billy )who i think is a bog standard lg one striker

If you play him enough games he will score enough goals to have fulfilled his role and done his job but the team will have suffered the when he goes through one of his long lean dry patches where he is innefective

At times Billy Sharp has won games single handedly and has been the only person on the pitch showing the level of desire and ability we need.

If the rest of the team played like Sharp did, we'd be a hell of a lot better off.

Have a look at how many of our strikers have managed to score over 20 goals in the last 20 years.

On our bench there was no attacking game changing subs Adkins could bring on. Which meant we had to stick with two strikers having bad games.

Frustrating game as I thought Barnsley were rubbish today.

Agree, we don't have any 'attacking or attack minded midfielders' at the club. We don't really have an 'effective' replacement upfront for Adams or Sharp.

I also noticed at least five times where a player clearly got pushed in the back only for the referee to ignore it and play on, it was really bad refereeing.

George Long's distribution was terrible and he again failed to keep hold of any ball he went for.

He certainly couldn't keep hold of the ball at times, it slipped out on a numerous of occasions and nearly cost us big time on one occasion.

He's started coming out for crosses, which is a start - but sadly you can see why he doesn't like coming out for crosses. He must improve his handling to progress.

Best defence I've seen in a few seasons. Well organised, excellent shape throughout the whole team and their big centre half marshalled our front two well. Really impressed with their fitness levels as well and pressing.

Barnsley set up to contain us and defensively were sound two centre backs mopped up everything and rhe most disappointing thing is we didn't
try to change it as Danski says using th flanks more might have given us more joy. Adkins said the same in his
post match interview,surely as manager he could have changed it
We definitely didn't play as well as two previouse home games. Do we give Barnsley credit for that? 3
