Shame how so many doubted that Sharp would cut the mustard for us based on nothing short of vitriol and pure vitriol alone.

Glad he's proved them all wrong. Player of season by a country mile.

If we somehow manage to nick 6th spot, trust me when I say that Sharp will be the difference between a play off success this time round as against our previous failures.

Another goal and another assist tonight.

Class act.

11 in the league and one in that 5-1 win over Notts county. Was that in the JPT?

Yh that was jot I think he's on 10 league goals by now but it might be 11 in the league if they had been playing upfront together from start of season U could call them a proper 30+ goals a season strike force

Well done Billy and Che also...12 so far is great considering he missed a few games mid-season and has played a few positions..

Che has started in 25 games out of 43 and come on as sub. 7 times. So not figured in 11 matches. Billy, on t'other hand has started in 38 and come on as sub. twice. (so only missed 3 games).

Please see my post below from August 2015. I'm dead good at predictions me!

Mister Pessimist says that Adkins selects Sharp and Sammon to the exclusion of Adams even when they are not scoring. All managers seem to select those they have signed even if they are not playing well because to do otherwise shows that they were wrong in their judgment. Adams won't get the game time he deserves and Sharp won't get more than 20 including penalties.

Now where did I put those worry beads?

You're wrong, you bloody pessimist. I think it's more likely that Sharp and/or Che will miss games owing to 'flu'...

I know 1 thing & I know its a bit stating the obvious If billy sharp isnt voted the player of the year, then something is wrong & vote must've been as corrupt as fifa under blatter. Because for me he is head & shoulders over the rest with in my opinion george long & che adams a distant 2nd/3rd

George is his only challenger IMO. However underwhelming the season (until the last few weeks!), superb that two of our own have both had seasons they can be proud of, & are head & shoulders ahead of the pack for end of season honours.

Che as clear Young POTY, for me.

Can't believe I had to justify his record to
someone who said he should be released not 2 weeks ago as he was apparently "in his third mediocre spell".

Definitely underwhelming. I was trying to think of contenders. That have played well for majority of the season & I was struggling to think of any more than them 3

It's a shame he isn't a bit younger. We could really have done with this season being the year as I don't think he has many 20 goal seasons left in him.

Then we'd have sold him on for 5p.

In addition to Sharp and Adams I hope we have more striking options next season. Ched Evans and Lee Novak would do nicely. In fact just one would be good. Hopefully DCL will make a real breakthrough too. Can't just rely on two all season.

Excellent return considering the season we have had. Adams too can be happy with his tally in his first full season in league football. If any of our midfielders could contribute more than 3 a season then things would be looking better

It is generally what happens as a player gets older (roughly mid-late 20's onwards). But particularly as they reach the 30 mark.

Plenty of strikers still manage to score regularly after 30.

Nothing in the way he's played this season suggests he's diminishing.
