I think it's funny quite how amazed they are by 5th in the league. Like, it's a good place to be and I'd rather be there than here but with the way they were behaving you'd think they'd already won the league!

most owls fans are getting nose bleeds

remember any owl under 23/24 years old , considering you dont go to football and understand it till your 6 or 7, will never have seen wednesday this high

That's the key.

The first stage of selling better players is inevitable.

The second stage is where success is achieved.

Always respect both stages, something people choose to ignore/ forget.

The second stage becomes easier if you hold out for top dollar and occasionally say no. If you go to every media source telling everyone who;ll listen that there's nothing you can do then you'll struggle to get good fees in the first place.

dont worry about Wednesday , they were due a relative high after 16 years , hope they lose in the play offs , be sweet
we can ring up and tell them how they wasted their time like they did when we lost in one

Jammy so and so's always seem to end up on the right side of things we slip up on.

Michael Brown was shite after he'd made his mind up to leave. Paul Devlin even worse.

Some players are utter wasters when the mood takes them, as Chelsea discovered earlier this season.
I think we could have got £2m for Brown if we'd cashed in at the start of the season, which could have brought us a few players with Warnock's ability to find relatively cheap ones, but we had a few months of crap and then let him go for £500k because his contract was running down. I'm afraid that's one Warnock got wrong.

lets face it , theyve been in one play off against hartlepool , whose zenith has been bottom half championship and who took 7000 fans and 86 of those were sheep dogs

we played finals v wolves burnley palace huddersfield teams who have won things both wolves and burnley have won the league in my lifetime

You can only beat what's in front of you.

We've lost to everyone put in front of us.

Saved me the bother. His argument is entirely grounded outside of the world of facts.

I didn't even have to look it up. My son still watches Murphys career and gave me the low down the other night. Played thirty of about 40 in the league, there was a suspension for a red card and a couple of minor injuries. More or less a first choice.

Third highest scorer too. JD 1, Thornton Junior 0.

;)

I didn't think the description of non regular not first choice sounded accurate but wasn't aware of his stats.

lets see if they can beat whats put in front of them this time , will be slightly harder , starting with the opposition having some fans

Looks like being Derby Hull and Brighton , all slightly bigger opposition than Hartlepool

Walsall win tonight puts them 5 points from Burton with a game in hand...

Wiki says 25 starts.

Each time I've watched he's been sub or subbed and 6 goals makes my point anyway, don't you think Sean?

Watch Knockhart play more than him in the run-in.

I wouldn't look at Wiki for up to date football stats.

Which point, the one where you said he was a fringe player/back up or the one your trying to make now based on your TV viewing?

30 starts is almost 75% of league games. 3 as sub, a suspension for red card and a couple of minor knocks that kept him out for a game suggests he's an integral part of the team.

Come on Woodward old friend, don't do a Barney on us and pretend we didn't understand your original point!

We did. It was just incorrect. No shame in that. I claimed Brayford as a left back earlier on!

Something I shall never forgive you for :(

Fair enough, it seems I had a mistaken impression. Thanks for putting the record straight!!

When I've watched him he has not been a key player (e.g. at Forest this week) and has been subbed early. I had picked up on Wiki the other day that he had 25 appearances and it's still showing that on the shortened version.

I'm pleased for Murphy he has been more involved than I thought but suppose he would have hoped to score more goals and I now see he has just the 4 assists.. The arrival of the winger Knockhart from Leicester will place more pressure on Murphy's place. The other night Knockhart came on and made the goal at Forest.

Back to the original point. The gap from where we are to where Brighton are is massive. Watching him play he doesn't glide past defenders as easily as he did in L1 and often turns and lays the ball off. He looks far less dangerous and that reflects the difference in standards in the two divisions.

It says on Wiki the info is correct at 23rd February Woody but none of the other claims you made which were all yours.

The original point wasnt about the gap between us and Brighton ( or Wednesday), it was about Murphy/players moving to higher placed clubs. Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin because it wasn't the record that needed putting straight, it was you :)

Suit yourself Sean, that wasn't my point but have it your way if it's important to you. Tough school this, well policed:)

At least the mistake made a couple on here happy.:)
