Going to be a sombre mood on Saturday I think that things could come to a head with Adkins and the board - if and when Walsall go in front then the crowd could turn on them both, boo-meter will go off the scale. It could just be the game when frustration and anger spills over.

Ironic that it should be Walsall as old Blades like me were there in 1981..

First bad atmosphere I remember was in the sixties after we sold Mick Jones to Leeds - despite beating Newcastle all the chanting was aimed at the board supporting John Harris - anyone else remember "Grocer Jack?" We got relegated at the end of that season 67/68. Talking of John Harris how we could do with him now.

The fact that we're expecting Walsall to go ahead at some point shows what this club has come to this season.

Fully expecting a defeat at the moment. I'll still be on the Kop, but it's a odd situation where I can't really get excited about a win, as we're way off the playoffs, and every over win has heralded in a new period of false hope soon obliterated by a defeat to Saaaathend/Bury/Rochdale/Colchester/Shrewsbury etc.
