He probably thinks he can get away with it because the players who are fighting for his position are even worse then when he's doing it half arsed.

Conversly, does anybody think Adkins/Crosby/Wilkins might just be a draconian bunch of horrible cunts?
Let's be honest who's ever responded positively to the "big stick?"
Okay giving Adkins the benefit of the doubt about leaving Adams out, did he have to go with the Option of the Hopeless Sammon?
Why not give Done a go up top or the young kid scoring for fun in the under 21s Diego or something I believe he is called?
Ship him out..now...take the gaffer with him too..and his gaffer.I know a man (very well), who knows a man (very well) who knows this young man (very well). He's said quite a lot about "an attitude that could be a lot better" and a lot about what he gets up to - off the pitch. When I declared my hand a few months back and commented on an apparent, "lack of professionalism" and a propensity "to play the big man - till early in the morning", I was called a "c**t" on here by some joker, and another said, "it was the biggest load of shit he'd ever read". Another claimed that I "wouldn't be able to spot a good player, even if one bit me in the arse hole".
Whilst I suggested that some folk on here were getting carried away about him, I never questioned the kids potential. I did, however, state that there was a strong rumour circulating that he does have an attitude problem. To support this there's also been talk (though I can't confirm the detail), that he's received a number of fines for breaches of club discipline.
I genuinely hope the lad can turn it around because under that expanding bulk, I think there's a very decent prospect 'nesting' there. That said, if he can't overcome these 'apparent' problems, and if he can't focus 150% on his game and his future career. Then I'm afraid he will go the way of many before him who, despite having bundles of talent, are destined for life in the minor leagues.
It's a real pity because we need all the talent we can find at the moment. He's still young so let's hope he can turn things around for everyone's sake.
He may as well have written 'Rapey losers, Sheffield United...'I see James Shield caught journalism tourettes this morning. Could he not figure out what to write about?
Ched Evans, Adkins, Millwall and all in the first paragraph. At least fatty Samuel throws sumat about the blades in after about 300 words...
"Nigel Adkins has told his players that quitters will not be tolerated at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United, whose former striker Ched Evans resumes his bid to overturn a rape conviction at the Court of Appeal this morning, slipped to 12th in the League One table after being beaten by Millwall last weekend."
Unfortunately ..... we haven't got time for him to learn.
Because as soon as the first fresh green shoots of "promise" start showing and the first offer of ten bob, a shiny brass button and a promise of a friendly match are on the table ........ our "forward looking ambitious" Board will have him sold !!
UTB & FTP
I imagine Ilkeston fans said exactly the same. Did we have a friendly against them? Oh yeh! That's football for yer!![]()
But I used to think that our "stature" in the football world was higher than Ilkeston .......
Ah well ..... its not like the old days

And who would play left wing back? He's clearly doing a covering job there.
Billy big bollocks Diego and the chip on his shoulder?
all this che/ diego stuff is a smokescreen now that he doesn't have collins and jose to hide behind.. it's hypocracy.. if he was really interested in performance issues how come hammond and sammon walk into the team??

is that FACT Tyler? if so i will accept it.Sammon hadn't started since February 6th prior to Saturday. He started on Saturday due to Adams' unwillingness to do his job and was still replaced in the second half.
Adkins is dealing with a squad where half can't play and the other half won't.
Except it's not the first time. Him and Mcgahey were dropped earlier in the season if I recall correctly. However he needs to realise how hard he has to work. I know he is only young but believe it or not there are lads that get their heads down and work their socks off to be the best they can. The difference between those that make it and those who are so so (or even drop out of the game) can be hard work in training and doing the right things off the pitch as well.
Maybe its that's he has come from non-league (or wherever) and it has been a bit of a culture shock the amount of work that is needed and expected. Maybe he think he has 'made it' already. He has shown in flashes strength, power and an eye for goal so I think he should told what is expected and demanded to make it at a good level. Let's hope he can, he's only young so he's got time to learn.

He's not ex non-league, he's ex Forrest.
Wonder if he finished up non-league because of his attitude?
I think we are all trying to 2nd guess what's happening with Che but it does seem very much like the Mcnulty situation when a manager sees something in a player and the player is not producing what he's capable of ,the manager tries to get under his skin to get a response.Mcnulty is an excellent finisher which I think Clough appreciated but is overall game needed working on ,Adams is very much the same ,it's not always about putting in a shift ,but working on your game and these two are probably falling short at working at there game rather than there stats showing them them to be lazy.I think when you are a manager and in trouble you can focus on the wrong thing , in the overall scheme of things.
Mountain out of a mole hill , which tries to highlight that they are still in control of all situations football. Proves to me that they are losing it . Bigger issues and fish to fry at the lane , than farting about with young Che and so called lack of trying / discipline . Did it do him any good no idea . Did it do the team any good , no.
Thought Hammond would take the lead and sort crap like this out , as one of the items us fans don't see that he does off the ball.

probably why they are in div 1 with usIf we are on about Adams (which we are) his wiki page say he was released by Coventry Academy (can't see what age though) and signed by Ilkeston.

Where does Forrest fit in? Unless you've remembered it wrong or maybe I've missed something. Either way you're right and he should know the hard work required. Yes given that he has such apparent potential you do wonder why they released him, it may be for the very reason he is getting a bit of stick off Adkins.

But much calling Che Forrest.

I agree that it's not the final straw TomJonesBlade but that's twice in six months that he's been dropped for a lack of professionalism. Hopefully we can kick that habit out of him and he can show a bit more of his promise.
