Agree with the priniciple, but taking average time in office for all managers in the FL, it's clear we're hardly atypical.
Despite last season starting mid December and ending start of February in terms of excitement, I wouldnt have sacked NC (difficult second season syndrome) and still think he must have talked himself out of it. The cracks in how that team was built have turned into vast chasms under NA and ordinarily I'd agree he has the right to build his own team before we can judge because the compound failure of the last five years and constant chopping and changing have really come home to roost.
But, you need to see something of potential, something that indicated he is both strong enough and talented enough to undertake a job at least three times as difficult as he thought it was. And he wont have any money. This is where I'm starting to waiver a bit. I'm not bothered by the results and failure, I'd actually be more worried if we went on a run and ended up 7th missing out on the playoffs by a point because the temptation to gloss over everything and pretend all will be well in 16/17 will be seized upon. I'm more bothered by the fact that as things unravel further, he seems less able to shape events and shows even less determination to do so. NW used to tell us to piss of to Meadowhall, NA mutters obliquley about unseen work and lack of understanding in amongst other Gordon Brittas like flannel.
He should get next season, but he has to show some Leadership for me, otherwise if we're starting from scratch (again- new start, brave new world SUFC 2016 etc etc) why should he get the gig merely because he happens to be in place now ?
