Biggest embarrassment to the club today

Our genuine supporters have been hounded and critisized for daring to speak out about the dross that's infected our team this season. They have been well within there rights and frustrations fully understandable. However today had nothing to do with genuine supporters. The genuine amongst us acknowledged we played well first half and were only pissed off that we didn't make it count. The knobheads element were out in force today though for there big day out. They were itching for us to fuck it up and couldn't wait to sink there teeth in. They're antics and vitriol left the genuine amongst us bowing our heads and shaking them in disbelief. Whether they are good enough or not I'd like to apologise to the players and the good people of Rochdale for there actions. They weren't the actions of proper blades

Megalike Pete! Jeez. Fans fault again. Christ so it kicked off a bit and we nicked their duvet. Fucking hell ban them all. This is still clinging on to being a working class dare I say working mens pastime. If you go to football expect it to get a bit "blue".

No one wants to see people hurt but jesus things boiled over a bit today so the fuck what?? It was nothing. If u wanted no part of it move away it was all right down the front there was plenty of space behind.

There was one smoke bomb in the concourse today at half time and there's a guy on twitter on about crying children "covered in smoke" (not sure how u get covered in smoke - and he called it a flare which is inaccurate) I was stood next to the smoke bomb area for 10 mins previous before it went off. I was stood there cos it was a "good laugh" (yea sorry I like stuff like that on away days and yes I probably am old enough to know better). It was obvious if someone had pyro amongst them it was going off there. If I was asthmatic/scared of red smoke I would have moved away from that area cos I knew what might happen. Why can't other people do this?
It was nothing?
FFS it was uncalled for, stupid and embarrassing. I ain't no prude and all of us as young lads have done daft things but a fair few shall we say "day out" lads took it too far.

Beat jedi you need to grow up if you think frightening people (and children) and letting smoke bombs off is fun wow!! that's enjoying yourself?.

5th season in L1, a pathetic 10th position and 11 defeats before the end of Feb. And the biggest thing some on here have to complain about is our fans. Un-be-fucking-lievable
Deano see my post above. You seem a genuine blade. A bloody frustrated one like so many of us. But today was different mate

The biggest embarrassment is the fact that our manager and fans are taking positives from a two nil defeat to sodding Rochdale in league one, can we sink any lower

You're over reacting. Far too many jumping on the PC train. Modern society has a lot to answer for.

Because everyone has to "think about the children" in this day and age or something like that.

My 12-year-old son was caught in the middle of the action today and by all evidence was very frightened and upset. The Rochdale stewards took him and his dad away from the fights and hostilities, and led him to the United dressing room, telling Adkins: "Here is one of your lads who was scared by what is happening over there". All credit to Adkins, he spent time to console him, took selfies on my child's phone, asked him who his favourite player was and fetched him (Billy Sharp) to come and say hello and give some comfort as well. Billy took the shirt off his back, signed it and gave it to my son. All this consoled my child somewhat - normally, it would have been the highlight of his week! - but until he went to bed, he wouldn't stop repeating who punched whom, what words were shouted, how hostile people came across to be. And this comes from a child who holds a season ticket and goes to away matches at least once a month! In all honesty, I am starting to think that there may be better ways to organise his weekends. And I am not thinking about the poor United scoring record (I don't think my child remembers anything different in his lifetime!), but about wanting to keep him away from some spiteful mob that I would not characterise as a 'community'. This, I think, is sad.

I'm genuinely very worried that we can, yes.

As it stands, I think we'd be more likely to exit this league via the bottom than via the top.

Fae too many jumping on the PC train. Modern society has a lot to answer for.

Is it a bit "PC" to point out when people are being dickheads and trying to fight with their own too?

The fact we're crap and struggling is irrelevant to the fact there were a lot people partaking in embarrassing actions today.

They aren't to blame for the loss (though some visibly stopped play coming down the left towards the end), but should that stop people pointing out their actions?

I can only hope your son quickly realises that today's events don't happen all that often and had nothing to do with genuine fans. Here's hoping it doesn't have a lasting impact on him or his love of the blades

Oh give over people complain about absolutely anything these days. Football violence, it's nothing new. It's what happens sometimes. Anyone who doesn't like it knows there's a chance of it happening and takes that risk when they buy their ST/ticket.

It's not football violence. Do you ever read anything properly?

Just because it's nothing new Barney doesn't mean it should be acceptable

Ah forget it then, you're right.

Lets all be bellends with each other, because that's how it should be, saying otherwise is complaining about absolutely anything.

I've followed United home and away for years, whilst there's been the odd occasional Blade on Blade fracas, there's been a large increase in people starting on their fellow supporters for simply having the audacity to sing a song in support or have a slightly different opinion.

Throwing punches because someone stood in-front of you doesn't agree that they should shut up and stop supporting because "we're fucking wank".

Let's all start joining in the intimidation of catering staff, because it makes us feel the big man amongst our pals... best make sure we sing about Adam Johnson and throw beer at people in between though.

Makes you proud.

I'm not saying the behaviour is acceptable, I'm saying everyone over reacts as part of this new PC society.

Clearly objecting to criminal damage and bullying is political correctness gone mad.

Reminds me of someone who wasn't going to let being "banned" drop because it wasn't "fair" . Some soya and lentil sucking lefty tree hugger no doubt.

The club is rotten to the core and has been an embarrassment on and of the pitch for far too long.

An embarrassing Board who through a mixture of deceit, incompetence and mismanagement have presided over not just the most depressing period of supporting the Blades over my lifetime. We're not just talking about results here were talking about how the club handles itself in the media and towards other clubs. The total lack of discipline off the pitch which has us employing a group of wankers who seem to thing it's normal to get drunk round town and act like dicks.
A club who have now employed some disgusting scumbag excuses for players.
A club who has allowed its fans to terrorise a victim of rape by saying nothing
A club who actively signed a piece of shit who thinks it's fine to beat women with a belt
A club who employ a lad who punches girls when shitfaced
A club that employs a junky and seemingly have done nothing to stop it.
A club who allow their players to do whatsoever they want in their free time and even pay for them to go and kick off and get shitfaced abroad.

And our wonderful co-owner who will probably be stumped as to why some of our fans have been chanting in support of a rapist for several years, who go to other grounds and feel it's fine to smash it up and intimidate workers, who smash up shops. A club that never has a strong line when our fans misbehave and one which prefers to remain silent.

Nevermind how shit we are on the pitch, I find myself becoming more and more frequently embarrassed to admit which football club I support.

I saw someone say "it's one of the biggest problems with the club" for example. The general reaction on here has been over the top. Trouble at the match never used to get all this. Nobody is saying it's acceptable, it's just as though it's in fashion to be as outraged as you can about as many things as you can find.

Beat jedi you need to grow up if you think frightening people (and children) and letting smoke bombs off is fun wow!! that's enjoying yourself?.
Not sure where I said frightening people was fun. Just saying it was blatantly obvious for 10 mins previous where it might happen. Self-police and move away. Seems to me every away game now we have a load of young lads in the concourse at half time creating an atmosphere/being pricks who should be strung up/somewhere inbetween (depending on your point of view). Everyone can see them. Don't go near them if you don't like it.
