Voted for appointing Robson, but the other keys ones was giving that fat idiot Terry Robinson free reign with the chequebook and the club, and the day the Saudi cunt Abdullah turned up with his lickspittle arse wipes Baki and Phipps promising the world and delivering fuck all

Letting Warnock go, beyond dispute. Went on Talksport at the time and said so, and believe me I must have been worked up to pluck up the courage to do that!

All the mistakes since have been as a direct consequence. We've not been the same club since he walked out the door. He had his faults and still has, but my god, what I'd give to have those days back.

The invisible prince and his side kicks gave Mcabe some breathing space.
Mcabe would have been gone now ok we might have been in administration but we would have come back from it.
Main thing is we would be shut of Mcabe.

Administration for me would be the worst possible thing that could happen to us. One of the few (at the moment) things I take pride in with our club is we haven't gone down that route. I stand to be corrected but I believe we are one of only two Yorkshire clubs to have never gone in administration.

The other being the pigs, and we all know how they avoided it.

My own view (which isn't worth much) is that the core of our current predicament was the January transfer window in the Premier league. While we weren't safe, we are doing ok and one quality midfielder would have made the difference. Instead, Warnock bought Kilgallon, who had some impact, Fahti (750k) and Shelton (1.8M) who contributed pretty much nothing. Two and a half million wasted and if that had been put towards a player who would have slotted straight into the first team, it could have provided the goal we required and kept us up.

As I say, the spark of the downward trend to where we are now is that January transfer window.

My dad would have said that the firesale of our best players through the 70's when on the cusp of success killed it all.

Then of course came the South Stand, which although necessary, financially crippled the club for years after.

In my time, almost all of the above. It's a clusterfuck of calamities.

Sorry, have to completely disagree with you there, listen to other expert summarisers and you soon realise he doesn't know much at all about modern football

Not something l'll argue over. Just to me he seems to know his onions. Compare him to some other local club commentators who can't take their tinted glasses off and there's no contest.

For me anyway.

We want the slate wiping clean and that means Mcabe gone hes now a parasite on our club

Selling Brian Deane before the start of our 2nd season in the Premier League. If we had kept him I am sure we would have stayed up and been part of the growing 'beast' that was to become the money juggernaut it is today.

We're suffering the curse of Freddie Trueman. For kicking Yorkshire cricket out of Bramall lane and what's worse we let them leave Sheffield for Lee-eds instead of building them a pavillion/ground.

Being born.having a poor upbringing.being bullied at school. OH of course choosing sheffield united to support in the first place .

Between 1893 and 1934 the Club was always in Division One, won the League once, and the Cup four times. Since then, more or less, its been shit.

Why?

After warnock, the 3 main reasons are
1.ched Evans
2.Selling James Beattie in January to Stoke, his goals helped them stay in the premier league, our goals dried up
and we fucked up at Wembley, and for the record,he didn't have flu
3.Selling our top players year in,year out and replacing them with shite

In recent times the main two are..

1: Putting too much faith in Cheds innocence and patiently waiting for his release.

2: The sale of Harry Maguire. Understand why he was sold and you don't want to hold back an ambitious talented youngster but our defence has never been the same since.

Maguire was the main centre back like Morgs, so someone like Collins looked good playing the supporting centre back role.

no way would I ever have Edwards but one thing ,is trying to keep up with modern football part of the problem ? Gary Neville is the best summariser ever ,couldn't manage a shit atm , Football is about players ,11 good players will beat 11 mediocre (sheff Utd) ones ,too much emphasis on tactics and formations and diet and all the other shit. Get some good players , play them in their strongest positions ,win football matches in the 3rd division.

Selling Jimmy Dunne resulted in our first ever relegation and set the tone for SUFC ever since (have we won a major cup since - answer No).

In recent times the decision not to sack Warnock once we got in the Premier (and replace him with someone who know what he was doing in the top flight) has probably cost the club over the following 10 years. We should have done what Stoke have done, unfortunately we stuck with old big nose Colin and his 100% record of getting clubs relegated from the top flight.
