To all those who were ripping the AC unit down on Saturday

They chucked loads out just as the second half was kicking off, couldn't tell you what happened outside after that as I was doing a fiddle job in the second half fixing an AC unit.
So you're the twat that undercut me. You know I needed the work.

It was probably a fan extractor, why would any football club have an air conditioning unit?

What the fuck were the Police andStewards doing while this was taking place, let alone hundreds of bystanders?

Most of the bystanders were filming it on their phones.

Me? I took advantage of the confusion to jump the refreshment queue in order to get a hot choccy for my young lady who was rather cold.

Lo and behold, behind the counter were cowering two worried-looking bouncer-types.

It never ceases to amaze me why people do that. I couple of years ago, a tree fell on a bus near where I lived and there were loads of people stood around taking photos on their phone. What do they do with said photos? Pore over them lovingly in years to come?

was in the Westfield corner and could see from there that a smoke bomb had been set off. Then all the catering staff came trooping past us carrying all the grub from their end in boxes and tin foil, was hoping I might a free pie but didn't.

I was sat up there too, I was optimistic of getting a steak pie...... but despite the impromptu food distribution I had to settle for a chicken balti, more so disappointed because the pie and coffee were the only highlights of that game for me.

chicken balti sounds good to me though to be honest was still stuffed from my dinner and needed to leave some room for beer later. Pie, chips, veg and a mug of tea for £3.20 from Sharon's in the Moor Market :D

In answer to your question:

The concourse was rammed full of people - difficult to even get to the toilet.

There was 1 steward on a walkie talkie obviously reporting the situation, but ANY course of action by the numbers of stewards/police required to solve the problem, would have meant a possible crush - ring any bells in South Yorkshire?

Initially I thought the same as you - why no action, but then when logic comes into it, it would have been mayhem.

And if something bad had happened the police would have been hammered for it. It was just criminal damage, no one was getting murdered.
