Warnock has been confirmed as new Palace manager ... He says he's looking for pace up front ... Could that mean Webber may be on his way if he will be garuanteed 1st team football? ... Warnock did like him

He can take Horsefield they got on like a house on fire. :)

I'm sure he'll do well with them. Dark horse for the play-offs this year if he can get the players in.

Warnock: This is my last job
Eagles chief reveals job offers

New Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed his latest job will be his last in management.

Warnock was confirmed as Peter Taylor's successor on Thursday following his sacking earlier this week.

The 58-year-old, who has been out of work since leaving Sheffield United at the end of last season, is looking forward to the challenge of turning around Palace's fortunes.

Last job
"This is my last job - there won't be another job for me," Warnock told Sky Sports News.

"I feel I have got something to offer Simon [Jordan] and this job."

Warnock also revealed that he had turned down several other job offers before taking up the role at Palace.

"Yes [there were offers] when I left, the best part of five or six decent offers," added Warnock.

"Initially I did not feel it was right to jump right into the first job that came along."

Warnock confirmed he will be bringing in Mick Jones and Keith Curle as part of his backroom team at Selhurst Park and that he will talk with former caretaker manager Kit Symons about his future at the club.

"I am hoping to see Kit and I always have a lot of respect for Kit," continued Warnock.

"I am bringing in a couple of people. Mick Jones, who has been assistant in the past, is coming in and Keith Curle too as a coach.

"I do feel I need one or two of my own men and I will be talking to the staff today and the players tomorrow."

Looks like it will be his last job.

I think he’ll do a good job there. As much as I respect him though, I really hope he doesn’t finish above us!

i think that working by sods law, palace will not only finish above us, they will probably make the playoffs, where as we will be fighting relegation

not what i want to happen mind, just sods law

Good luck to the man. I for one never wanted him to go!
Lets hope we finish above Pal-arse, not only for obvious reasons but because I have to work with a pal-arse fan regularly!
I could not take the smugness.:shakehead:

I can't see him getting on with grease head Jordan to be honest, completely different to McCabe

Warnock and Jordan are very good friends, thats why he was always going to be the next manager.

Think he can do the job for them IF he can stay in the job for longer than a month

I realy think Palace can do well under Warnock and i'm glad to see him back in management, it's just a shame its not with us.

Also he can take webber and sharp for all i care, they're both useless

Sharp will not go to Palace while ever Warnock is manager. Sharp wouldn't come back to Bramall Lane while Warnock was here. :)

ive heard webbers name mentioned in the paper.

hopefully he will take MRS Bromby and Morgan and Tonge and Horsfield and Tie in return can we have Ben Watson

good look to the bloke...wished he was coming back here though.
yeah ive heard the webber link a few times

not sure if this has already been mentioned on here.
found this on OS earlier.
