C'mon ye red n white wizaaaards....aaaaah. Well done Che Guevara, sorry Adams. Nice goal. Well done Nige. Well done for t clean sheet lads.

Sorry must have been writing mine at the same time!

Interesting team selection and a great win, happy days tonight!

When I first looked at the team I thought like most others that we would probably get beat today, it was either great selection by Adkins or he was clutching at straws, either way a great result good team effort and a brilliant following from the fans, good Saturday feeling is back again. UTB

I wasn't sure whether it was brave team selection or making a statement to the Board regarding lack of money. Let's hope he continues in the same vein

No surprise Adams has had a good game, very strong and direct and definitely isn't afraid to beat a man. You can't afford to not have players like that in a squad in the third division. Good player who I've very little doubt will go on to much better things.

We had to win the game, workmanlike performance, job done, Collins sounded solid, we need a run of wins badly.

Just looking at the Coventry vs Bury stats. Bury had more shots and Coventry scored from all but one of their shots on target. It's not going to be as easy as it looks on paper but they need to come out and win. More of the same from us. Soak it up and break with pace. I can;t remember the last time I used 'pace' in conjunction with describing United.

A few young lads in the team....

Green shoots? Hope so..

Well done, let's go again blades..

Refusing to get carried away with this. It means nothing if we don't follow it up with a winning run. Our next three are against teams we simply have to beat if we are serious at all about making the playoffs.

After that we have Burton at home which we will also need to take something from. If we can take at least 10 points from those four games I might start moving towards the edge of my seat.

We have a lot of ground to make up (yes 5 points is a lot) at this stage of the season with only one (at a big push 2) places realistically up for grabs and a few teams in the race for them.

We are very much outside runners at the moment. All today's result has done is put the playoffs in very distant sight again.

Coventry will be no problem just as long as we can have the same ref that we had last match.

Hopefully with us eh Barney ?

As has been mentioned many times on here, I think his dad dying, understandably, has had an impact on the number of his appearances this season.

The players
The gaffer
The supporters.

Big 3 points that today.

After much (understandable) negativity, let's hope this is the start of our push for play offs.

UTB and FTP.
Credit where it's due, sounded like we deserved the win against a poor side.

Let's hope he continues to play the kids, but also sounds like Hammond was up to his usual...

Apparently Collins played well, unsurprisingly his contract is up this summer.

Negative jibes aside, well done to Adkins for mixing things up and particularly to Che, Baxter and Reed as it sounded like they impressed

I think Adkins gambled a bit with his team selection today (sharp & coutts+ done rested)Bury and port Vale are very physical teams with lots of experience at this level so by giving them a break hopefully they will do the business in these two games.Done arnt a physical team so it was a calculated risk that paid off ! in my opinion!!!.
