Amongst all the big things in today's business as usual clusterfuck, was a dire lack of any urgency.

Did anyone else notice how incredibly slow mcleverly was in the first half - Firstly to retrieve and then then throw the ball at a throw in, then to take a free kick just inside our half?

On both those occasions and others he actually acted like players do when they are time wasting. I have never seen him look so disinterested. And he wasn't the only one. Coutts was poor, salmon couldn't win a single header and only chased the ball down for the first 5 minutes.

So another ingredient was added to our repertoire of shit - utter malaise. Can things get any worse?

McEv's throw-in was just in front of me. It was as if he was knackered or taking the sting out of the game, but neither were remotely applicable to the moment.

Very, very odd indeed. But otherwise he was miles ahead of his teammates in terms of effort and drive.

In the first half it was quite obvious to me that they were told to run the clock down so don't blame McEv, he was just following instructions.

The throw in incident was odd, but I thought this would be reference to the 90 seconds of keep ball we did with 1 minute to go. 2-0 down and we play it out to the left, back to the cb, knock across the back, into the cm who turns and plays it wide right. Player checks back and gives it back to the cb. My head explodes, cb finds the right back who........

As for another thread about today's game what do would you rather discuss? Has there been a rugby game today?

A 2-0 home defeat was a much better result than most expected (including many of the players) hence our time wasting. At least it stopped the olay's

There are now 13 threads on todays game.
I enjoy reading peoples thoughts on the game and one of the reason I use this forum and not Bladesmad is because it used to have discussions in one place and conversations developed.

On Bladesmad if someone wants to say something they start a new thread and no-one reply's.
This is getting like Bladesmad with people starting threads when they want to comment.

Try adding to a current thread, you might find it adds to debate.

This is nor aimed at blade67 just using his question to respond to a question asked.

Why would they be told to run the clock down at 0-0 in the first half against Wigan though?

It was like that strange Barry Robson corner from a few years back. God knows whats going on

Why oh why do we need to play for a draw at home the crowd are supposed to be the 12 player but how can we do this when weve nowt to be exited about
Wigan had lots more posession in the game draws are ok but not when we are desperate to win but draws easily turn into defeats

Your point is a fair one and I did raise the question so no problem if it was aimed at me. I do think that the OP is a new theme though on today's game. I've had a couple of my threads "merged" since I came over from Bladesmad which I don't have a problem with as I may have missed a similar thread.

One challenge for this board must be that bladesmad became unusable and also a bit toxic, so I guess the volume of traffic on here has increased substantially in the last 18 months which gives the moderators and regular posters something else to chew on.

In the end it's probably all about finding the right balance. A bit like our midfield really ;-)

Jose baxter for there 2nd goal was a disgrace, talk about lack of urgency he no interest in winning that ball. He'd be the first to go if it was up to me.
