Martin,

Are you having memory problems?
The directors have been showing ambition and putting plenty of money in.
That is the main reason why people have renewed season tickets and why our gates have stayed close to 20,000.

This is the 1st January transfer window we haven't spent big.
Or have you forgotten about Brayford and Done, who at the time were seen as major strengthening.

It reminds me spoils kid that has loads of presents every Xmas.
Then one Xmas their parents have little money so buy a pair of socks and a selection box for their child. The kid then cries and bleats that their parents NEVER buy them anything for Xmas.

This reminds me of a spoilt family that have tried again to b@lls@it their way around things, instead of being honest. But honesty and McCabe don't and will not mix in the same breath!

For the first time in a long time, I'm genuinely not sure if I'll bother next season.

Why should I? If they can't.

I imagine thousands will feel the same tonight. I feel we are all being taken for granted. There is next to no enjoyment or hope and the only reasons most people are giving to why they will renew next season is simply because there is nothing else to do on a Saturday.

Things seem seriously wrong at United. To pretty much write off a season like we have should send alarm bells out to us all. I fear this is going to get worse before it gets better.

We must remember that we were told before the Prince came in that we were skint that's one reason we sold players or couldn't hang on to them as well as not attracting the right players and taking a punt with a fledgling manager in David Weir where we could have done with an old hand.

If there are no better players than what we already have then the manager is shit!

Just because we spent big 12 mouths ago doesn't say we can't spend some more money on improving the quality of the team any new players will be an impressivement to what we already have?

Roy, of course it will. The current owners are a joke and will see the club in the ground over a bit of building land and the fans will some how have to pick up the pieces in time. This club and fantastic fans deserve so much better, but instead will continue to suffer due to the direct actions of the current owners.

Fucking man up.

If i renew next season, which i will, then you can too

It's nothing to do with manning up. These people that own our football club have got a job on convincing me and plenty of others that they've got the bottle for this.

Couple of points out of the play offs and clearly deficient in many areas and we just don't bother. That tells me they've given up on the season. Wasn't expecting a flurry of activity, but no one?

I've no desire to watch shit mid table league one football again next season.

I do worry that is where we are heading Onetouch. It's a total mess

Genuinely indifferent to this window; I honestly couldn't see anyone coming in given all the noises about 42 players, the need to reduce etc. As said on here earlier, I believe this season is about getting numbers down, if we get in the play-offs that's a bonus, but the re-structuring that Adkins wants will be done in the summer.

Not only did we come back with a little bit of spendo from the day out at OT, we've also matched them on the JTW incomings.
Can't be that disheartened, surely?

The future's bright.....

the 42 players figure has suddenly appeared from the manager over the course of the last few weeks. We don't have 42 players who might play. That number included youth and development players. It looks like very much preparing the ground for an excuse.

Me too mate, from what I am hearing, it sounds pretty poor at the moment and the family (especially the old one) are trying to play hardball, but it will end in up in a worse mess than it is now! I tell you what, listening to radio pig tonight, if I had bumped into that waste of space today, he may have ended up under the next train out of Sheffield!!!

The set of cunts running our club are worse than the Oyston's

From what I hear, this joint ownership malarkey is not the perfect marriage we'd hoped it would be.

I'd suggest one side needs to find a new hobby.

"I cannot say the club hasn't done everything they could. It wouldn't be fair. I'm not happy about this situation. I am not stupid and saying we need nobody.

"Some people have to be brave enough to say what have we done wrong in the past and what we should be doing now to stop that and to be better, maybe not in the next months but the next season or in two or three years."

Nigel Adkins?

Remi Garde - Aston Villa

It wasn't from day one. McCabe found it difficult without having the shout on all things and fought to not let go.
Maybe he feels he was right but he's had a few more years to sort it out than them so maybe he should think about that.

Highly unlikely Pete, due to the land, however, one day the McCabe's with less one and sons that may get bored (with any luck) allowing the club to move forward in some capacity?

Your right SS, and we shouldn't forget the signings of Brayford & Done, but we are talking about the here and now, and right now we are making a rather shaky attempt at getting promoted via the play-offs. One or two incomings could have increased our chances. I'm not bothered about what happened a year ago, at the moment, the proof is, that both of the signings you have mentioned, haven't made much difference to our attempts at getting promoted.
