Interesting reading although I am not sure Fulham count since they have been in the Premier League for most that time. Same probably applies for Wigan.

Not sure I believe that L**ds are higher than us on average.

Fulham are up there?

A club whose fans politely clap whenever they score? A fanbase who probably have a chant about "charming your women and drinking your prosecco" are up there?

Fucks sake.

I think they should have been omitted as they have not been back in the Football League for that long.

Only because they spent 9 of the 10 seasons covered by the table in the Premier League - with big away followings. They would struggle to get in the top 20 otherwise.

As for us - given our lack of success, our support really is incredible.

Our season in the premier should also be excluded from those figures

I think so as well but we have had occasions that have meant our attendance average will be high.

The games against Spurs, Charlton, Forest and Soton in the cups spring to mind.

Since when have we been so preoccupied with numbers? WABAW?

Not preoccupied - but I am proud of our support. Not much else for us to be proud of recently. I don't go around claiming we are as big as Barcelona like the pigs do though....

it really is just about the only thing we can be proud of at the moment, which is a bit sad, but hey (as Kev would say) that's football

Further goes to show how well the club is run.
Yes the club makes an annual loss, yes gate receipts aren't everything but we should easily have had enough financial clout to hoover up the best players from this league and force our way out of it by weakening our competition 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm sorry, but that must be incorrect. How could we be above Wednesday and how could Wednesday not be top by 28 million fans?

Id love to read the deconstuct of that on porktalk and how its down to our free tickets / adverse weather /muslim bank holidays

cant really count fulham 90 per cent of their games were in the prem , so the only teams above us are the 2 x 1 club cities wolverhampton and leeds

When you think that all the championship attendances will have a higher average of away supporters added to the attendances, our attendance figures really are unbelievable, especially as not one of us understands why we actually go
