Hopefully we'll get a better fee for him in the summer. There's a striker at League 2 Morecambe with a better scoring record - should we sign Shaun Miller back?
Or how about that Lyle Taylor from Wimbledon?

Can we have him for the one in 3 games he can be arsed and let Portsmouth have him for the other 2 ?

Mcnulty this and mcnulty that from our MOTD pundits, and here we are thinking to ourselves why is he not at our club if he's causing a PL team like Bournemouth problems? It's an absolute ludicrous decision to let your young top scorer of last season go out on loan to a lower league side (I bet Pompey are thinking that the same).

It's decisions like this that makes me think twice about Curly Watts as our manager, because it doesn't take a bleeding brain surgeon to realise that Mcnulty is a great option in League 1, but our manager lets him go.

Well done Curly, I bet well never see Mcnulty in a blades shirt again...
Haha. Curly Watts. Class!

If hes on form he should be at the lane and Sammon should be sent back. Simple! As for been a disruptive influence, i don't see him upsetting Portsmouth's dressing room.

Well said. Some of our fans would rather have someone who behaves impeccably but is wank on the pitch over someone who apparently misbehaves and can actually play a bit. When did football turn into an opera theatre environment, lets get 11 nuns out on the pitch.

Sammon and McNulty play totally different roles in the team.

Even if you think Sammon is crap (he's clearly not) I can't see how putting McNulty in the team instead of him makes any footballing sense at all.

Come on Fatty stop trying to bring sense into the equation.

McNulty scores, Sammon doesn't. I'm glad we've cleared their roles up though, it's been puzzling me for some time.

hahaha! Bang on pal. George Best was hardly a saint off the pitch. Didn't here anyone complaining then!

Your right but he should at least be on the bench or Adkins needs to change his system.

All this hate for a player still Employed by SUFC.

Can some of you tell me why BAXTER is still at the club?

UTB

I don't know but I can make a couple of guesses

He hasn't upset any of the senior players. In fact, he's probably likeable and, despite the occasional lapse into arsehole behaviour, looks like he's worked hard in training.

We haven't got anyone else like him.

Like McNulty, two managers now have worked with him. In Baxter's case neither of those even signed him so they don't have any reason to include him in order to justify themselves. In MM's case both managers seem to dislike him, or feel he's a problem of some kind.
In Baxter's case two managers have been prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Can't just be coincidence.

Erm no, I've seen no evidence to suggest he's not crap.

Only your odd musings, backed up by no one.

McNulty had some good games for United last season, most notably Southampton in the cup and Bradford away, and had a good goals return from number of games started. He was inconsistent, as you'd expect from a young player, at his first club outside of Scotland. He wasn't helped by a manager who never gave him a run in the team, when he did get a game it was invariably as a lone striker and even if he played well he'd get slaughtered in the press by Clough, then dropped. He'd have probably done much better if he'd had a decent run in the team alongside an experienced target man (Davis or O'Grady).

As for a supposed attitude, good that's exactly what the current team lacks, some cocky sod giving the opposition some back. When Basset was manager they'd all be out supping around town on a Saturday night and it wasn't uncommon for um to have some b0ll0cks with t' pigs if that's how the night turned out. If the current lot did the same they might end up getting a bit of team spirit about them instead looking as though they're just going through the motions.

Right.

I'm bored of this. Marc McNulty's record in league 2 this season is one in every two games. In the league below where we currently stand.

Why does that make him good enough for us?

Ok he can score against Ipswich and make Bournemouth reserves sweat but what about week in week out? He's always been able to play brilliantly once a month, anymore than that you're asking for too much.
