No one else would have wanted Sharp? Or Brayford? Or Done? Murphy?

Its so obvious that Stevie Wonder could see it - WE NEED TO GET SHUT OF PLAYERS. There are 10/11 players that are holding the rebuild back.

Only once these have gone can you truly assess who we can sign.

We sign a winger today based on todays budget, then in the summer get rid of 10/11 players, we might need to buy another winger based on the new budget. What a waste.

Get to ground zero, then rebuild. Its what we've been crying out for, just that some fans have forget the bit about patience.
Done really is nothing special, hence why we got him. Fair enough we did well with Brayford and Murphy but with Sharp there wasn't many other rumours barring us.
That's the sad thing. You can count on one hand the amount of quality players we've signed in the past 3 years. With the budget we have we should have 11+...

So you reckon no one else would have wanted Sharp, really? Because there were no other rumours? Right...

Bet you loved the signing of Done though didnt you? Last minute before the window shut, special or not, it was a signing, what you crave isnt it?

We are lacking quality players, hence why we need to get rid. The emphasis should be on the process of getting these out.

We have tried rebuilding on old foundations too often, if Adkins is set on a total clear out then if it takes another summer then so be it.

If anyone from the championship wanted him he probably wouldn't be here.
Wouldn't say I loved it... It was a decent signing nothing more.3
So just because you're planning a rebuild you can't sign a quality player for 200k? In that case why are we even after Burn? Shouldnt we just be waiting now until the contracts of the wasters run out?

Ah right, so now you moving on to 'no one in the championship wanted him' - cant keep up.

What quality player have we missed out on for 200k?

If we get Burn it will be because Adkins feels he will improve the team regardless of any rebuild.

People want signings for the sake of it though. Adkins even said on 1st Jan that all incomings would come down the final 48 hours. Yet he's still getting slated. Oh my.

Sammon is the only poor one and Clough had a hand in agreeing that.
Sharp has over 10 goals by the new year, Edgar looks solid, Hammond is turning into a very good player and Woolford seems to finally be coming good.

So don't talk bollocks.

Thought you said we didn have any good players?! :)

My viewpoint hasn't changed, I'm not saying he's not quality I'm just saying there was little competition for him.

Sam Morsy, and Ryan Colclough for that matter in the past day.
Right and who's to say Adkins DIDN'T want Morsy? I've heard from quite a few people (not trying to be a cryptic ITK, I'm not) that Adkins wanted Morsy but couldn't get the deal funded or signed off.

Who's slating Adkins? It's the people above him that are to be held accountable imo.

You said no one else wanted him. Based on nothing but make-believe.

Morsy? Show me a reputable report that states we have bid, enquired etc. Plus, he has just joined a League 1 team receiving Premier League parachute payments.

Colclough - apart from a few fans saying he's a good player, we should be after him, there is nothing. That is not us missing out, that is fans trying to play football manager and getting mardy when realising its not real.

Sharp was a bit of special case due to his Bladeness. I also doubt many Championship clubs would've paid what we did for him.

Done is bang average and I'd be shocked if anyone else, especially in the Championship, would've paid anywhere near 600k for him.

We overspent on Brayford, as he's proved, and were likely to be the only club in for him at that price.

We obviously did well to get Murphy especially for the price we paid. His situation was the same as Morsy's (6 months left on contract) but on that occasion we weren't stupid enough to pass up the opportunity. Despite the fact he was more of a risk than Morsy would've been!

I really can't remember the last time we signed a good player our divisional rivals were also interested in.

I love how 'bang average' Done is when it suits.

Bench him for 3 games and there would be an outcry!

Imagine not signing Brayford and Caridiff saying he was available. And then SUFC saying we weren't prepared to pay an extra 250k for him! Outcry!

Who cares how we got Billy 'Im the top scorer' Sharp!

Actually I've said how bang average Done is every time I've posted about him, and that's probably being kind. Any adverse reaction to him being benched would say more about our alternative options.

That might actually apply with Brayford if the 'extra 250k' would've taken it to more reasonable price than £2m+.

It's not a case of caring how we got him, I'm just pointing out that Sharp was a bit of a special case of a transfer.

Don't say things like that. We clearly only sign quality players.

i really don't get it. the way to get out of this poxy division is to go and hoover up all your rivals best players, not sign has beens and thirty somethings from higher up

But, but... If we go in for players our rivals want that could result in a bidding war which means we might have to spend a bit more money. Not worth it, even if the player ticks every box.

oh i see. so we should just let them get on with it and we will stay in division one. f**k that.

We can sign players no one wants. Big wow.
We fail to sign quality* players again and again. Didn't really think I'd need to spell that out...
You wouldn't have needed to spell it out if you hadn't spectacularly missed the point in the first place.

Our purchasing policy is the flawed. That was always my point. People, like yourself, bang on about lack of investment and signings. I'm making the point that the justified criticism should be about the players we sign, not that we don't sign them, or we don't spend enough.

Serious question, are you one if Barney's multiple logins?

What because I don't agree with your point of view?

If we can't afford 200k lets pack in. It's not worth it.
No, because you keep making fucking ridiculous points, this one being anither one.

Sam Morsy will have chosen his destination, based in the highest payers, in this case being a club with parachute payments. The fee is irrelevant. The fact that I have to spell that out to you tells me all I need to know.

Hahaha that's a good one
You know Sam Morsy's financial situation too then as well? And you claim I'm making 'ridiculous points...' Errrrrm...

Okay, Sam Morsey didn't leave for financial reasons. I mean, that never happens. You've got me there. I just can't compete with the superior logic. No really........

I'm not saying he didn't, but can you prove he did? Not EVERY footballer does. Take Billy and Brayford for example.

Oh for fucks sake. I can't prove that the world is round or the sky is Blue either Danny.

I know it's fashionable at the moment, but you don't have to hate your own football club.

No hate by genuine fans, just probably pure frustration based upon quoted figures from the local media. The club will continue to be a target for this kind of stick, especially with the current actions of the board.

I would also like to know just how you would also be aware of the contract offered to Mosey by Wigan? I would also like to bet that we are paying the pensioner from Leicester at least that figure or possibly more??

No idea if Mosey was the answer but that last sentence is true.

That's the point mate we absolutely will be paying oil tanker more than Morsy will be on at Wigan. To rub salt in the wound we will offer oil tanker a 3 yr contract this summer. We never learn do we, we got in this position by signing 30+ yr old s on the way down on big contracts and we continue to do it. Why can't we sign young , lower league players on the way up likes Morsey, Pierre, Roofe etc. If we are going to fail we may as well find a new way to do it rather than repeat the same mistakes.

Stop. You'll be accused of hating the club...

You think Wigan offered him less money, but he chose to go there? Morsey was about to walk for free in the summer, he held all the cards. He went into Wigan for more money. I can't believe anyone would actually question that.

The Hammond situation is completely separate and wasn't being debated here.
