If Geary AND S.Quinn were not injured tonite then Robson has to go, the only players who showed fighting spirit on saturday are dropped?

Geary is best right back in the league

I hope Geary was injured coz i was pissed off when I saw he wasn't in the starting 11.

Geary surely must have been injured, but i've not been to impressed with Squinny tbh. he drifted too far infield too often on saturday and didn't get too many decent balls into the box. I thought Alan had a decent game tonight though for the Quinn family:)

well if there midfield is physical, surely drop Michael "im getting as bad as Monty" Tonge. He couldnt tackle a 5 year old lass. Quinn gets stuck in

Tonge had a good first half althought he didn't get involved in the second half until the last 10minutes or so

I thought Quinn started very well and was one of the few that maintained a decent level of performance throughout; very encouraging from a player that can offer a great deal of creativity when on his game.

Tonge was hit and miss but to call him woeful harsh in my opinion. He often goes hiding when the going gets tough but i thought that wasn't the case tonight and he consistently showed for the ball. His distribution of the ball was erratic but he had some very good moments mixed in too.

I didnt see tonight but for me quinn on saturday was coming into the middle cos the middle pair were not doing their job!

Also he seemed to be the only one in midfield willing to chase the ball

I've said before we've been playing too narrow, and that's why Squinny was inside a lot. I thought he did ok on Saturday actually, seeing as he (along with just about everyone else) seemed to be out of position.

It must be an injury to Del, because he was one of just three who I thought wore the colours well on Saturday.

Squinny was on the radio just before KO. He said how he was still struggling for fitness and trying to get his strength back after a long lay-off. 2 games in a few days probably a bit too much

Geary is injured.

S.Quinn wasn't good enough on Saturday in my opinion anyway, he looked lost.

The midfield last night looked better than it has all season, Alan Quinn brings alot to the team I think.
You speak sense, Daz. Reading the beginning of this thread worried me.

Of course Geary was injured - Robson wouldn't drop him! And as for Squinny, even if he wasn't injured or struggling for fitness I'd have sat him on the bench anyway. He was poor on Saturday and hasn't shown any particular quality so far this season.

Alan Quinn wasn't just "decent" last night, he was excellent; dropping deep to take the ball off the defenders and build, never gave up, never looked like giving up, drove at the defence, played genuine penetrating passes forward, floated some dangerous crosses in and even threw a couple of (speculative) shots in from mid-range. My MOTM by a country mile.

Try getting that on back of the shirt :D

I must have been watching a different game fella, Tonge for me was dire throughout. It's all very well wanting the ball, but if you are not doing anything with it then there is no point.

Wanting the ball is better than turning away from the ball completely like Monty does or pointing to another player when you're in acres of space to receive it like Bromby did 3 times last night.

I'd rather monty turn his back than receive the ball :D

And Bromby ain't much going forward really.

geary, naysmith and squinny all picked up knocks apparently.

not bothered about squinny tbh.

your not the only one, don't think hes anywhere near as good as we need. As for the Geary, i can't wait for his return he's clearly the most passionate player we have and he clearly loves playing for the RAWW. i don't think i could take much more of Bromby after last nights 'performance'. He was shit

Think people are being harsh on Bromby, yes he wasn't fantastic, and his positioning is somewhat woeful, but this is mainly because he is pushing forward more and more. Not long since people was saying he was too defensive, so it looks like he can't win.

I agree he isn't good enough long term, but to drop back on he isn't that bad. His crossing has definately improved, and his throws are always dangerous.

i also think people are being very harsh on bromby.

To be honest he is rubbish. He is always dozing off and has the reactions of a sleeping Hippo. And also he's slower than a snail. Send him back to Wednesday.
Well harsh. Player of the season not too long ago, wasn't he?

I'd say he is out of form and not having played much football for the last 18 months I'd give the guy some slack before "sending him back to Wednesday".

Ridiculous Johnny. It's comments like this that show you haven't been a Blade for too long.

Definately wouldn't send him back to Wendy but only because we have no-one else. why oh why did we let Kozzy go, he'd be perfect at the moment and is also capable of making runs down the line whilst also getting back, something bromby doesn't seem capable of

I'm sorry but I think Bromby's been poor for a while, he was a liability at times last year especially. Perhaps I was a bit harsh to say send him back to Wednesday, but I certainly wouldn't consider him for the starting 11 right now.

And not to forget he is actually crap at football, and his crossing is one of the worst in football. But all in all, not bad.

Tonge would have been alright if after he kicked the ball it went to a Blade!
