Time for his mid-season rest I think. I like the kid and I think he's a decent keeper, but some poor mistakes recently.

He should have had that one on Saturday and the one at Colchester was a real howler. All due respect but I can't remember a save recently where I didn't expect him to get to it and good keepers should surprise you.

Howard back in I think.

Mmmm interesting

Not sure Long has done too much wrong lately apart from the goal at Colchester. Not sure where he thought he was going.

Much like Brayford I would say he is being let down more by the rest of the team.

You obviously didn't go to Colchester then and see the rest of his performance

Can't see it SDP. Yes clearly at fault for the Colchester goal, but also provided the assist for Sharp to score.

The Swindon goal? Do you mean the own goal from Collins? It deflected off Collins leg from about 4 yards out and completely changed the direction of the ball? Not blaming Collins but that's what happened.

I mean this in the best possible way, are you being serious, mate, or is this just a wind up?

Fair enough if you disagree, but I did go to Colchester. I haven't been to many games but he benefitted from the switch last season (possibly the season before). I think we need better, but I'd be looking to Howard for a few games, see if he can do any better.

He doesn't make any saves that 'any keeper at this level' shouldn't easily make and for the record, I defended him after flapping at that one against Bradford.

*waits to be accused of having an agenda/being a Howard clapper/never going/being blind/never having played at a decent level etc etc etc.

Wait, the lads kept a clean sheet making a good few saves in bad conditions and you're still pushing this?

Strange

Genuine opinion. He's a young lad, I think he could do with a break like we've given him before.
I know where you're coming from regarding his rest last season but he is better than Howard and can only improve. Resting him now would be a bad decision imo because his new found confidence could soon vanish.
He's probably one of our best players at the minute which says a lot really.
