Missed 2 good opportunities to really put pressure on the top 6 and move into the play off spots Saturday and today.

It's just going to allude us this season isn't it?

Too many players just didn't fancy a rainy game in Blackpool tonight.

Just checked out the league table on Sky Sports News and it looks like I'm going to have to put the entire channel on ignore.

I was playing 5-a-side this evening. Was blowing a gale. Wonder if the wind played a factor at Blackpool.

Sounded fairly even with us perhaps having the better chances. Was Sharp injured or just knackered?

Not a bad point if we had won Saturday but we just arent good enough I'm afraid. There are at least 6 better sides than us in my opinion

Positives are we kept a clean sheet and got a point away at a team that have improved of late.

But we aren't winning at home regularly enough for away points to be considered decent.

Still think we have enough to make the playoffs, but it will be tight. Couple of decent signings and we would piss it.

Tonight for me just confirms that we're not at the races this season. Each time we've had an opportunity to get amongst them we've failed miserably

Deficiencies in every department. Pace, power and in some cases passion all nowhere to be found

On to next season I'm afraid. Let the big clear out begin, because this bunch couldn't feyt their way out of a paper bag

It's fairly similar to last season which tells me that its the players not the manager. All we can hope for is two decent signings before the window opens, otherwise it'll be more of the draw, win lose inconsistency. Tonight's point isn't too bad considering Blackpool have improved, to be fair. Its just overall it's very dull.

Wigan at home is must win - and if we do I believe it opens up 4th, 5th and 6th spots as achievable.

The first three are out of sight but others are stalling.

We need to do slightly better than 16 points from 9 (our current form) to ensure playoff qualification.

I wouldn't give up yet.

But we really need to beat Wigan.

If we've lost Sharp, this is a disastrous evening

Nail on the head! Players not good enough, simple as.

Adkins past record gives me hope he will get it right so I'm willing to give him time. He also didn't blow a shit load of money on the dross so think he's paying for Clough's mistakes.

I can't believe Barnsley are now just 6 points behind us with a game in hand after the horrendous start to the season they had.

Can't this season just finish already?

We do owe them one to be fair from THAT game.

If Sharp is out injured I think we should be able to pack up and go home for the season.

I'd say it's borderline whether we'll make the play-offs with the current lot. A proper centre half and decent target man (both with some drive and leadership qualities) added in the JTW and we'd defo make the play-offs. I just don't think there's enough determination, drive and ambition at boardroom and management level for this to happen.

We have just drawn against the 18th placed team following a draw against the 15th placed team. Our only win in the last 5 games was a fortunate one against the current bottom team. In my opinion we are nowhere near good enough for the top 6.We lack pace, power, leadership, creativity and have a defence that will usually gift the opposition at least 1 goal per game. Yes we are one point off the play offs but I expect that gap to steadily grow over the next few weeks as there is no sign that there is any improvement available in this side. What we see is what we have got for the rest of the season which is mid table mediocrity. Probably a point more than I expected tonight which says it all really.

He's playing with injections in a broken foot, Giddings gave as much away after Man United.

When you're a one man team, that's how desperate you become.

I knew he was playing with injections but didn't realise he'd broken it.

I thought Adkins made a big hoo ha about Clough playing injured players? Would it not be worth letting his foot recover? I mean, if we did sneak the play-offs and he wasn't fit...

To be fair there's no chance of us sneaking into them without him so it's a calculated risk!
