from the OS.

Approximately 450 tickets have now been sold from an allocation of 1,002.

That was before Saturday.
Now there's only 50 going.
Could be the lowest attendance ever for division 3 game then.

Might be more stood outside than in tomorrow.
Looks like the BFC supporters are rallying the troops for a protest.

Wonder if Madame Petulenegro still has her kiosk on the South Shore?
Is she a fortune teller or a whore?

A crying shame for such a grand old club. The very best of luck to them.

It shows how dependent our game remains, under conventional ownership models, on getting the right kind of oligarch or demagogue at the helm. Blackpool is just one current or recent instance. See also Leeds, Blackburn, Charlton, Northampton, etc etc etc. It's like Billy the bloody Fish football, in Viz, crossed with the Russian roulette scene in the Deer Hunter.

Democratic supporter ownership (or at the very least, governing influence) and wresting control of the game back for cities and towns and communities, and away from transnational media conglomerates, has to be the way forward. But what are the realistic prospects of that ?

Blackpool fans might be better off trying to set up their own club like Wimbledon fans did after they got shafted.

Is she a fortune teller or a whore?

Not 100%, didn't quite catch a glimpse of her lucky heather.

She asked me if I wanted any extras.
I said "Aye, a cup of tea and a plate of custard creams, please"
She duly obliged.

Be aware though, she might ask if you fancy some time in her Tunnel Of Love. Suave.
By the way, if you wake up the following morning and two green rashes on the inside of both thighs, no panic, no doctors.
Her earrings aren't real gold.

The mind boggles

I'm surprised that Oyston has the nerve to ever show his face around Blackpool.

He actually has the number plate OY51 OUT, it really is unbelievable how he taunts the fans on top of everything else.

they got 6000 last home game (when they thrashed Scunny 5-0) but sounds like there might be picket lines tomorrow reading some of those comments!

In reality, they've been getting about 3-3500, it's the old 'season ticket sales' which pushes it up to 6000. It was a master stroke by Oyston to offer a cheap 2 year ticket deal at the end of 13/14 but even a lot of the fans who fell for that aren't going this season.

Wonder if Madame Petulenegro still has her kiosk on the South Shore?

Oh yes, still there complete with pictures of her meeting Ken Barlow, Tom O'Connor etc etc Just up the Prom from 'FUGDE CORNER', a fantastic spelling mistake which has gone unchanged for about 10 years :)

It's pissing it down and windy up the coast here so doesn't bode well weather wise as expected.

I've got a foot in both camps here, while I sympathise with the fans to some extent, I can remember the 80s when they were on thier Arse the ground was a pile of scrap and you could park in the car park on a match day and go to the pleasure beach...

I've always seen this group of Blackpool fans as Johnny come lately types, years ago and not being a historian on Blackpool fc they probably had an honest owner putting the best he could on the pitch and rallying to locals, who back then couldn't give a shit, mind you with all those slot machines and space invaders I'd be giving plucky Blackpool fc a miss as well...

Tell you what, saw a great punch up on the sea front outside the Manchester when Birmingham was there one weekend, none of your hokey kokeying they were straight in....

Hypothetical.

If the BFC supporters are holding a protest outside the ground tomorrow, and they ask you to stand with them and not enter the ground, knowing the story of what's been happening there and today's news about the court case.

Would you stand with them?

That’s a tough one. On the one hand, I empathise with their plight and support them in any protest and would want to show some solidarity against such crooks ruining football. On the other hand, I’d have paid plenty of money, time off work etc. to see the blades on their travels and would be reticent to miss the match. I think I’d offer to sign any petitions, stick around for a bit to swell the numbers for effect but then ultimately, go and watch my team. As it stands, I can’t make it so will be tuning in on RS so won’t have to make that decision.

Since we've been so shit we don't get the chance to play Florist regularly, it'll be a bit of a novelty for the "scab" chants to be dug out of the cupboard...

Not sure.

I have every sympathy with them and hope they can find a way to get their club back. However if I had booked time off work, paid for travel and tickets to support United, I would be inclined to go in and support United, our club being my primary concern. That said, I do have a lot of sympathy for Blackpool fans, there but for the grace of god and all that so I probably wouldn't buy a ticket for the game in the first place.

One other thing though, as poor as the club has been run by the Oystons and as questionable as some of their actions have been, I don't think that you can bring the court cases into it. Fact is, this bloke broke the law. However much the directors may anger you, you do not storm into an area wearing masks and making threats - added to the fact the fan had previous (smashed up cctv cameras at Accrington Stanley) I have no sympathy for him at all.

No.

Yeah, it's a sad carry on blah blah but - it's not my club.

Next...

I thought we were grumpy buggers, but they are properly pissed off. I'd be pissed off too if we were in their situation.

I hope they dont go under. I've wanted to go their for a weekend to see us for ages now but we always seem to get them on week night

It is disgusting what's happened there though

Oh, it's not that bad! Try to ignore the smack rats, the dole dossers, the shoplifters...oh go on. It is 'disgusting what's happened there'. :D
