I'm surprised that Oyston has the nerve to ever show his face around Blackpool.

I hope they dont go under. I've wanted to go their for a weekend to see us for ages now but we always seem to get them on week night

It is disgusting what's happened there though

A breakaway club might be the only way forward for them really. The tide of the support must surely have turned away from the original club by now.

If United had an Oyston in charge, I'd probably be inclined to support the breakaway option too if I'm being brutally honest, as much as it would hurt.

Are there parallels between our clubs? (Not as extreme as BFC). Once formidable in the old days, one flash of success in the big money league (since the BIG money) then falling through the leagues and fans at odds with the running of the club.

Only vague similarities. We've had our fair share of poor administration but Oyston is an out and out bastard who has gone out of his way to antagonise the fans. McCabe might be many things but he's not a complete scumbag.

There's not even the slightest comparison when you read what has gone on at Blackpool, utterly immoral and disgusting.

A bit of background might be helpful here. Today a Blackpool fan was sentenced to 26 weeks in Jail after being found guilty of trying to storm the directors box after the Blackpool fans invaded the pitch against Huddersfield last year in protest at their board. The match was eventually abandoned

A little told footnote is that the abandoned match finished as the score at the time 0-0 (or maybe 1-1), and not the default 3-0 to Huddersfield, as it surely should have been.

Attendance predictions?
they got 6000 last home game (when they thrashed Scunny 5-0) but sounds like there might be picket lines tomorrow reading some of those comments!

Hypothetical.

If the BFC supporters are holding a protest outside the ground tomorrow, and they ask you to stand with them and not enter the ground, knowing the story of what's been happening there and today's news about the court case.

Would you stand with them?

"“Reading seem to have this odd superior than other fan base that I’ve noticed during each trip. I’ve never met a more arrogant set of fans in my entire life, not even Sheffield Wednesday are as bad as them. “"

:)

In a heartbeat.

Why the fk does the last paragraph bring Reading fans into it?

There was a thread called "Clubs you hate". I clicked on it as we are often included in these sort of things but there was nothing about us. I thought the quote about Wednesday would please a few though
