Good news the lad has landed an 18 month contract at Barnsley probably needed a new environment. good luck to the lad lets see how he goes on. With NA bringing the size of the squad up at every opportunity I would imagine more of the U21/development will be released along with the first teamers who's contracts expire in June.

Got a good crop below the U21s, some were promoted to their U21 debuts at North Ferriby last night.

I watched the U18s drub Bolton Wanderers 6-0 on Sat, just before Christmas Hull were thrashed 5-0 away, and we nicked a 4-3 thriller over Crewe on the day we played at Old Trafford.

A good exciting crop, Binnion has got them playing some great stuff.

Congratulations to Kirmani Smith, our 17 year old signing from Basford United who netted last night (1-1 v Hull), on his U21 debut.

I’m a bit disappointed to see him go as I thought he showed some potential and would rather keep homegrown, low cost, young enough to improve players as the cover in the squad over players that we’ve seen in recent years like Ben Davies, Martyn Woolford etc. That being said, it’s not likely to weaken us massively and is one less on the wage bill. Also, the coaching staff have seen a lot more of him than we have so are better placed to judge. We move on. Good luck to the lad at Barnsley.

Agree. I thought from his performances at Barrow he'd at least get an opportunity.
