Warnock or Robson

All I am saying is I think with where we are and the promise of performance in the future It is way to early in the season to call for the man's lynching.

For me it would take something like oh losing every match save one so far and being at the bottom of the table. Then I would definitely be saying lynch the idiot.

Yes we lost Jags and we all knew that was going to hurt. And boy has it. If it looked like Robson wasn't even trying to fix the midfield I might be all over him but he is trying.

So I would just assume give it to the next transfer window before I bring out the tar and feathers.

by next transfer window it might be too late. the performances arnt improving. theres good spells but thats it. we can manage just under a half of playing well and thats it.

didnt want robson to start with.

we are scoring plenty of goals away from home when we are playing crap, so just imagine what it could be like if we were playing well!

2 or 3 wins on the trot and we will be up near the top 2 again.

I said to keenzy on coach maybe the players are re-adapting to life in the championship???? Only watford and Charlton have done it quicker. But i think the only reason for this is because they have the same manager and are playing the same football.

That mightn't be too far wrong, that.

It does worry me though that we're much nearer to the traditional time to assess the table, and we're further down than I'd have liked.

Maybe I'll change it to twelve games gone instead of ten, because we'd have just gone past a quarter of the season then.

Maybe.

I still think Robson will come good.

People keep saying he should be ranting and raving and instilling passion to the players... But they are professional footballers getting paid thousands of pounds a week to play, now if that's not a motivation to be passionate I don't know what is.

You don't need the manager to give the players passion, the players should get it on their own in my opinion. I pay to play football and I'm still passionate every time I play.

Once we get the midfield sorted out, with regards to injuries and signing a holding midfielder, we will be ok.

To be fair, some of the younger fans (not that you're old yourself) have only really known life under Warnock, who was hardly a shrinking violet. Even then, apart from a few sedate years (or in Kendall's reign, sedated), before then we had an aeon of Harry, who was hardly mute himself (remember Udinese ).

I would like to see more passion from the manager though, as I do think it transfers to the side.

Rome wasn't built in a day mate, and we've lost our lynchpin. Maybe when Hendrie returns we'll see better. I didn't want him in either (Coleman was my first choice), but as ever, we'll get behind him.

Especially at half time waiting for a pint

hopefully, but its getting on my tits, fans saying give him time, give him time.

7 games and a pre season with no improvement, not looking good.

totally agree with eveything you have said keenzy.
how long can we give him, teams will start to pull away at the top, if things don't start to improve soon then we can kiss goodbye to going up.
things better improve cos my £10 bet with a scunny fan ain't looking good :(
dread to thing where we'd be without the legend that is james beattie.

if we will win the next 2 games and things start to look up then nay, i will not complain. if we dont and its looking like we are going backwards then i will.

Crikey, I dread to think how half of you would react if McCabe was as trigger happy as you all call for.

Have we learned nothing from clubs like Wednesday?

" It took us ferking 12 years last time ....... for the love of God(TM) "

we have just come down from the prem with the same team save a few, no reason why we shouldnt be beating teams.

took us 12 years to get the right team. most are still here.

We weren't in anything like as good a position when Warnock took over.

I'm not disputing that mate, but the last time we came down under Bassett, relatively, it could haver been argued that we were in a better position than we are now.

Company wise, far from it; but football wise, as things were, we had a better chance than now.

Under a different regime. Don't get me wrong, we're under achieving, but there's time.

There is still time.

Im guessing Robson will have enough time aswell.

Look at Warnock it took him 8 years before he went. :)

How can people be calling for a manager's head after 7 games? We might not be playing well, but if we win our 2 home games coming up we'll be in the top 6 or 8 and not playing well, when we start playing well then we will show what we can do.

Patience is key from the fans. Moaning, booing, rapist chants and asking for the manager's head is going to do us a hell of a lot of good isn't it?

You seem to be forgetting the positive effect it has on players when you sing they have the touch of a rapist immediately after they break down an opposition attack, push forward and play a perfect ball to the attacking winger!

The bloke next to me shouted "fucking diabolical, what a load of rubbish" just as a ball was kicked by Monty, that just happened to fall perfectly onto the foot of James Beattie. Seems to have got to the stage now when certain people are voicing discontent even when a positive move is executed exactly as intended.

I have a bad feeling that these chants may have come from us after last season at Fulham, we was in a merry mood during a poor performance and we was singing this new song for monty, which I'm sure you can imagine was only sung in jest.

I do actually like Monty :)

Moronic

I will be the first person to admit that neil warnock was amongst the best of the numerouse managers Sheffield United have had, but this early in the season...ruling out robbson and wanting neil warnock back is plain stupid...neil warnock was with United for over 6 years...robbson hasnt been here 6 months, let us not forget robbson achecvments already with the club
1, He has brough in some quality players such as beattie and cahill

2, he has been seccesful in beatin two of the best teams in the league

In my eyes hes doin pretty good...and you all think hes doin wrong..cos we have lost 3 away matches? Uniteds away form is aweful...with or without warnock..yes warnock gave the team some passion and spirit, but whos sayin robbson is not? coming from 1-0 down against one of the toughest teams in the league and winning 3-1 is a good acheivment for a new manager who has barely been here 5 minutes

Your all gunna turn on robbson cos hes lost 3 matches? my goodness...i dread to think how you would be if we had a record this season such as wednesdays

I agree there.

Our away has been since well before Robson came here.

Having Warnock back certainly wouldnt change that.

Also alot seem to overlooking the fact we havnt lost at home so far this season.

Warnock would change our away form slightly, we'd be losing 1-0 instead of 3-2 :p

At least it's entertainment for us eh? :D

I'm still confident Robson will get it right for us.

.

Our away form the last time we was in the Championship under Warnock was very admirable.

What over the 8 years or just in the season we went up ?

He's beat 2 of the best 2 teams yes, but nobody else. And not won against 2 of the worst teams in our league.

You say it like it is 3 amongst a few wins and that...... but it is 3 our of 4 away games so far.

I agree to give him time, but let's not mask an awful start he has made.

Anyways, welcome to the forum.

Home Form = Great so far apart from the dodgy result against colchester.

Away Form = Shit and it needs sorting the signing of Cahill is a start.

I agree to give the guy time even as long as til the end of next season.
