I'm not too sure anymore
At least Warnock instilled passion into us, got players at there best, got us winning the games we might not be backed to win. With Warnock we played right to the 95th minutes. Can't be arsed to talk about Robson until we win way from home. Sorry if you don't agree but these are personal views, and i would welcome him back with open arms. I know people may say give Robbo chance, but how long should we give him, realistically on paper we should be winning sides like Scunny and Blackpool and Palace given their record at home before we played them.
Oooo rant over :)

I agree with you stinky there seems to be no passion in the team anymore, we were famous for our never say die attitude, and scoring goals in last 10mins of the match. now its the other way round we concede goals at the end of the match and what does robson do stand there every match with his arms folded.
love him or hate him warnock knew how to get the players fired up, yes he did make tatical mistakes on several occasions but the team that he did put out always gave 100% for Sheffield United.
Ahh glad i've got that out of my system :D

that was my other point i meant to make. Warnock would get himself fined and suspended for the cause and he motivated the players from the side, but Robson just stands doing sweet fa

would warnock want to come back tho, i doubt that he would.
we've got to get behind robson and support the team but for how long we don't want to fall too far behind the top two if we are to get promotion which lets face it, its not looking that way at the minute.
so please robson sort the team out before its too late, new defenders and midfielders are a must if we are to succeed this season.

Cmon blades show some fighting spirit.

With Carney, Hendrie, Ze Maria, how can anybody suggest Robson has not tried to fix the midfield problem. If Carney and Hendrie were fit today I have to believe we would have got the result.

Couldnt agree more, given the chance to pick from a full strength team and yes he's had chance to get the team sorted but 1 more quality midfielder in and then i think well start to turn the corner and good things will come

Warnock any day of week! Robson crap manager, wont win promotion with him, no way! get him out early on, get some one like Boothyrood, burley, mccarthy then we'll win promotion!

Personally I preferred Warnock......
but Robson has had to deal with our players going.. injuries and trying to motivate a relegated side...
he must be given more time and let see if the midfield can improve ie Ze maria (if he signs) hendrie and Carney

what's started, i'm only asking who people prefer, not once has anyone said about him leaving. Concentrate on your own club, if that's what they are.

Ooooooo bitchy

All im saying is, two or three more losses before the Robson outers are here, and the majority of people will be Warnock is the best, he is god, Warnock In etc

Im not saying every Unitedite on here will be like this, because i know the majority of you are not morons, and actually understand football

But i can't wait to here the clowns on the radio, in the papers and down the pub calling him a dick and asking for Warnock back because Robson is Shite.

Lets' be fair, even as a Wednesday fan i can see you would of never had a chance of signing the likes of Beattie and Hendry.

Robson may be one of the most boring and less entertaining people in management than aids, but he can certainly attract a top player or two

:) you wednesday fans make me laugh, you shouldn't be bothered bout our club

Ah right, so because im a football fan, and don't just follow the news and have opinions of one club in the world, 'us' wednesday' fans make you laugh

Damn me being a 'football' fan

Idiot!!!

Never thought I'd agree with a Wednesday fan but I agree with DJ (God that was painful! :p)

I didnt want Warnock to go at the end of last season and would have been quite happy giving him another year, but he's gone and I'm pretty sure he aint coming back.

Robson has got us some decent signings and the recent injuries are no fault of his. He's less entertaining to watch than Warnock but his reputation as a player goes a long way to enticing new blood in. I'm all for giving him a bit longer yet before we drag out the torches and pitch forks and go baying for blood!

But does it though, really? Beattie, yes - I'm not sure we could have got him with Warnock in charge, but I'm not convinced that another manager - perhaps someone like George Burley - couldn't have got him in, with the club's fortunes (relegation aside) being in the ascendent. But I have no doubt at all that, if he'd wanted to, he could have got players like Carney and Hendrie in, and probably Naysmith as well.

For all the talk of Robson's contacts, it has to be said that our dalliances in the transfer market - Beattie aside - have been pretty much woeful, and the very public talk of players of the like of Stelios, Campo and Gravesen coming to the Lane have done more harm than good. And let's not forget that Chris Coleman - who was reportedly interested in the job - was turned down for not having any experience in the Championship and not having the pulling power required to bring in the big hitters. I can't see that he would have made any worse a job of it than Robson, in all honesty.

Id go for Warnock too.

But he's left now, won't come back. We'll just have to see how Robson gets on, give him a bit of a chance!

Like you say Matt, he brought Beattie in, who in my opinion is an absolute star.

I just dont think people are giving Robson or the team enough of a chance to settle back into Championship football. We arent at the bottom of the table, we havent lost all our games, we dont have a full squad because of injury and its only 7 games into the season.

We have Cahill in who from what I heard did well today, we have Ze Maria in who I hope to see on Tues night, we are still in the CC, I just dont think Robsons done that bad. We are crap away from home - so whats new??

I have to agree. There has been so much upheaval after the end of last season I think it would take more than 7 matches to decide anything. Especially with the injuries we have had. And didn't it take Warnock 5 seasons to win promotion. I think we can give Robson more than 7 matches.

The Beattie signing alone is worth its weight. Once midfield gets straitened out things should improve.

yes i admit myself we need to give him time and suspensions and injuries have hampered us. If you look at it all our defeats away from home have been by a single goal and two late goals. Get the defence sorted we would be right up there. I hate to slate robson but i wish he get us playing with more passion away from home. UTB

we are scoring plenty of goals away from home when we are playing crap, so just imagine what it could be like if we were playing well!

2 or 3 wins on the trot and we will be up near the top 2 again.

I said to keenzy on coach maybe the players are re-adapting to life in the championship???? Only watford and Charlton have done it quicker. But i think the only reason for this is because they have the same manager and are playing the same football.

I still think Robson will come good.

People keep saying he should be ranting and raving and instilling passion to the players... But they are professional footballers getting paid thousands of pounds a week to play, now if that's not a motivation to be passionate I don't know what is.

You don't need the manager to give the players passion, the players should get it on their own in my opinion. I pay to play football and I'm still passionate every time I play.

Once we get the midfield sorted out, with regards to injuries and signing a holding midfielder, we will be ok.

I never wanted robson from the start. boring manager and prone to lots of draws.

Everyone is saying give him a chance. 7 games and pre season, and we are still letting in sloppy goals and turning out poor performances with no sign of improvement.

A comment earler about warnock had so many years and robson has had 7 games.

Under warnock we had no money and were heading for relegation we had to stick with him and get players in on cheap and frees.

Robson, with a team just out of the prem, and millions at his fingertips has not done enough. BT is a gem, but the others could have got with any other manager. Hendrie gets injured, so with the transfere deadline and money to spend, why not bring some players in? He was a midfielder, its his department and its awful. We should be beating teams like blackpool, colchester and scunny.

Im not saying we should have stuck with warnock, he cocked up too many times last season, but i new robson wasnt the answer.

Watford 16
Blades 8

Tick Toc, Tick Toc

I agree us pessimistic lot aren't giving Robson or the team enough of a chance ... But in comparison to the top 2, we ought to have settled in already ... 7 games in and we aren't used to Championship football yet? ... Something wrong in my eyes ... Injuries aside, we have the squad and capabilities (maybe not in defense) and therefore we should be up there ... Somewhere we are not!

What Warnock understood was that you needed Jags to makethis team go. So, buy another Jags (hard) or re-build the mid-field (almost done). If Carney, Hendrie, Ze Maria and Mr X can't do it, then scream. It would have been the same challenge for Warnock cause he couldn't keep Jags any more.
