A very good player for us in his time here. Full of effort, tenacious, and a little bit of quality to boot. He had his flaws, but who doesn't outside of the premier league.
He loved the club and he was genuinely gutted when we sold him. In fact, I've never heard a player give such an unenthusiastic "welcome to your new club" interview. Cheers McCabe, wasn't it £2,000 a game we got for him?
My memory, sadly, is of Quinn becoming a scapegoat during our demise. It's incredibly clear now looking at the trajectory of the club and the player since he left that he wasn't a major contributory factor to us entering (and staying) in league 1.
We might be loyal and turn out in number but we can be a right set of bastards when things aren't going our own way. And I don't think too much of it is a good thing.
