Do they have under soil heating?

Just seeing the National weather and it has forecast deep frosts over night for the whole of England on Friday and Saturday night.

According to this article, no they don't have undersoil heating.

"BBC Sport asks why the postponement happened in a new stadium, Colchester`s being just months old, that many presumed would have under soil heating.

United`s new chief executive, Steve Bradshaw, comments: "The Football League have recently gone away from undersoil heating as a concept and have suggested no new grounds bring it in."

Going Underground...

Hmmm a Tuesday night trip to Colchester may be on the Cards for Foxy and Lyndz soon then? :(

It has been raining just about all day today here in Nth. Norfolk and is blowing a gale of wind this evening.

It might be the same in Colchester and it might not?

HH

I've looked at the weather forecast for Colchester on Friday and Saturday and it doesn't look too bad. Fingers crossed the game will be on.

Live just down the A12 from Colchester, cold, but apart from that, no rain forecast.

Well we are still heading off now, we live 343 miles away from Colchester, staying over night hotel already paid for. I served in 2Para in Colchester so if worst comes to worst I will show my son the sights of a beautiful town. That's was so great about football you just never know. Fingers crossed.

Never remember a bloke pulling pints in that boozer ;)

would have to be a very severe frost to not shift before 3pm and the weather forecast is for 0 c which wont go deep and occasional rain in the morning so
unless it turns into 4 foot of snow, but the temperatures given as 4c

Colchester is my closest match of the season, but as it happens I'm in Madeira until Saturday night.

Don't bother travelling tomorrow. If the weather doesn't stop it, I've already paid a bloke to dig a hole in the pitch.

From memory Burnley brought thousands, I'm sure they had part of the South Stand as well as the away end.
They did, they brought loads. It was a relief to get a replay...which took us all the way to the semi only to lose to you know who. I was crying at Wembley that day. :(

Remember both games well.

The replay was on the day I'd been in Cumbria early so straight down the M6 for me and in. Loads of Blades got in at half time due to traffic issues.
Hell of a performance after the crap in first game.
