Adkins isn't the problem. That looked a spirited performance last night in the final half hour and well done to the team for rescuing a draw from defeat. But there are areas in that midfield and defence you could drive a supertanker through. Mourinho would struggle with this side, believe me. And what with us now being halfway through the JTW and the Murphy money seemingly nowhere to be seen, I doubt we'll make the playoffs unless we get a strategy that stops us shipping goals (unlikely) or we find a way to score more than three in each game to get more than the opposition.

Adlins = good craftsman who has someone else's budget toolbag. See Clough (regardless of what people say, we didn't exactly sign six or seven division winners, did we ... and we sold more playing value than we signed) and see Wilson as well.

To be honest mosbolad I'm fucking sick to the back teeth of being stuck in this division and the constant stream of excuses.

We conceded 6 v Peterborough and Wigan and defend like Barcelona against Man U.

I and others have consistently said the issues that need addressing. I'm entitled to moan in my opinion as you are entitled to your rose tinted glasses.

But I get your point. Our expectations of NA haven't borne fruit yet. I think he's a good manager and is sloooowly moving us in the right direction. His signings have been mostly average, his use of subs. is dire but he's had a hell of a lot of sorting out to do, post-Clough.

I think we should use the last four months of the season gearing up for 2016-17. Let's see where the rest of this season takes us, keep NA but absolutely no excuses next season.

I feel that the players have took the p*ss out Adkins. When appointed, Adkins wanted to give everyone a clean slate and a fair chance to stake their claim, when we know that many didn't deserve it. It maybe that Adkins was told he had to do that, however we are over half way through the season and hardly any of the squad can genuinely say they have took the opportunity Adkins has offered them. The inconsistent performances, lack of professionalism off the pitch and amount of players being unfit (I believe desire can be questioned with some) is a complete joke.

Our best hope is play offs and that Championship clubs buy Walsall, Peterborough etc best players in this transfer window.

It's a different scenario though. We can't just stick ten men behind the ball and defend manfully against teams like Wigan, we have to try to win games. At the moment we're a lot better team off the ball than we are on it. That may not be necessarily down to desire or application.
We can't, and haven't been able to for a long time, get the balance right between defence and attack. Whether that's down to lack of ability, lack of desire or lack of mental strength I don't know.
