"Inquiries began after a number of smoke bombs were thrown by Blades fans whilst additional inappropriate language and behaviour was reported at Bramall Lane. Club officials have this week handed out banning orders to a number of fans and are warning that further incidents will be treated in a similar manner".

Not so clever now lads is it.....

Source?

Banning orders - how do they work? They are told they are banned but what if a mate buys them a ticket? Then it would just be down to of they get spotted in the ground and if they do get thrown out.

Pretty much though I think the banning order is done by the police aswell so there are fines and prison terms imposed if you get caught

You would thought the Club would publicise the situation, maybe even name and shame culprits

But instead, it is all hidden away ................... not really a deterent

Aren't the ones at the lane smoke bombs rather than flares?

“I could make out they were singing ‘You’re just a town full of ISIS’ towards the Bradford fans. It’s like a return to the dark ages,”

Hmm.
I think Mr Mohammed (55) needs to read up on his history of Britain.
I have found NO evidence of there being any songs from that period (450-1066AD) being sung by the populous.
Would someone be kind enough to point out to Mr. Mohammed (55) that before he criticises the folk living in such a period of history, to get his facts right before he posts such ridiculous accusations.

If he had commented that the United fans were singing ‘You’re just a town full of Saxons from The Dark Ages’ towards the Bradford fans, I would have let this slip.

Sincerely.

First post Roman Germanic King Of England.

A banning order can only be served by the courts , the club can stop you from entering bramall lane ,but to be breaking the law you will have to be served a banning order by the courts

To be honest ,think the club have gone about this the wrong way ,we are the blades family or that is what we are told ,but we cast aside some of our brothers for very miner indiscretions ,our director who is representing our club at owd Trafford will have done much worse I'm sure .
Could have had them into the club for a dressing down and a warning .

The nobs want a shoeing for launching them down the stands never mind a banning order

Chffing eck, if Woolhouse can regularly pop back for home games with Interpol on his tail, then I'm sure there's plenty of ways to get round these banning orders - Ginger Tam O Shanter 'See You Jimmy' wig and sporran should suffice!

A display of support which could cause the club to lose tens of thousands in fine money. Not worth it. Plenty of other ways to show support.

Having stood next to a guy away at Barnsley who ended up with one burning a hole through the hood of his coat while stood next to his to small children ,I can assure you they are not. What possesses people to want to take them to games and throw dangerous weapons into their own fans is beyond me ,utter wankers who should be banned for life or given 5 minutes with all the lads who were around the bloke at Barnsley.

I know someone who got a two year banning order about a decade ago, he simply shaved his head grew a goatee and paid on the day in another part of the ground, he didn't miss a match all through his "two year ban"

So he looked like Gary Glitter?

Nah but eventually they did ask him where his meth lab was..

The club hierarchy do seem to like to pander to the authorities and throw people to the wolves e.g Ched Evans. The club statement is a right load of rambling crap. To be fair they avoid use of the word "racist" as ISIS isn't a race, but that's what's being reported elsewhere - "racist chanting". Then they start doing sums about the £37k fines and how many paying customers they need to pay that then "multiply that by 23 home games" ffs! I guess we haven't got any money then. They then end it with basically giving the bad behaviour of our fans as the reason we've been stuck in division 3 for 5 years! And if they say "family club" one more time ffs.....it's fucking meaningless.

All this while deciding we want to buy half and half scarves for tomorrow. Out of touch with the fans.....?
