Nearly and almost don't mean anything. It's all about where a team finishes end of each season.

I agree with you in that aspect but they are certainly giving themselves the best chance. Even a bloke who admittedly knows nothing about football knows to sign your rivals best players, as it strengthens you and weakens them. We seem too obliviously stupid to do that.

If you want to pretend it's not true just because it's the oinkers, feel free. But they are a mile ahead of us off the pitch atm - and probably on it. We're still floundering about trying to get out the third division for the fifth year.

I think the comparison is valid because at one stage 4 years ago we were at the same level. They went up because they made better use of the loan system and the actions of the fuckwit Evans.

They then struggled but seem back on track again.

We've only really signed a couple of 'top' players from league rivals: Done and Baxter. The rest are on the downward slide or have had bad injuries. I'd argue that Murphy, whilst not from this league, was another impressive signing who took time to adjust.

Charlton and Wolves both did it right getting out of this league. We need to stop messing around signing players from above on big wages and look to invest in the better young players from this league.

Wednesday so far have spent around 5 m but against peers , like derby boro hull who spend far more
