Anyone know what's wrong with him. I know he was Injured but gone very quiet on him. Not even been sat with other players behind dugout. Also if Wallace and Scougs on their way out was surprised to see them there. Scougs did not look happy though

Not sure how long Harris is out for, I think we need in at left back.
I heard about Scougall might be on his way out, its a shame its gone downhill for him, he was such a lively player which a lot of the fans got behind.

He is a far better option than Baxter in my opinion.

It may not be popular but McEveley is actually in decent form at the moment so I'm not sure Harris would get back in even if he was fit. He's nothing special anyway IMO and is one of the many positions we need to improve on for next season.

Wallace and Scougall have been unlucky really, Wallace in particular. But both spend far too much time out injured and I'd also question Scougall's attitude. Things have gone downhill for him since Wembley.

Although both play the same position I don't think they're entirely comparable.

Scougall is a nippy, driving midfielder in the team to score goals (which he hasn't been doing)

Baxter is supposed to dictate the tempo, dominate possession and play killer passes (which he rarely does)

That said, neither contribute defensively, and in my opinion, save for Scougall's first 6 months at the club neither are good enough for us on current ability going forward.

Really?
Baxter scores goals regularly and creates several good chances a game with great passes,I reckon his assist count will be quite healthy (ok there is also a lot of nothing much in between - otherwise he wouldn't be playing at this level).

Scoogs runs into the opposing player and falls to the ground in pain, then spends the rest to the game limping gamely around trying to get a touch.

Baxter every time for me.

Harris is injured, as he always is. Another one for the scrapheap.

Don't think either is what we need and time to move both on.

In fairness to Baxter there have been some games where he has influenced the outcome (scored, created a goal, taken a penalty). I am struggling to recall the same about Scougall. Probably Crewe away last season. Thinking about it even when he was playing well when he first came there was little end product. A player who looked to have great potential but has delivered very little.

Problem with Baxter is he either has a fantastic game or he's rubbish . Unfortunately we have far too many of the latter games.
His passes can be lazy, his reflexes slow but he can then just turn on a sixpence and score.
He frustrates me no end as he can really have an influence in how the game is played, unfortunately I just think he has too many off days and he can go for me.

'He is supposed to dictate the tempo' ,You have his problem in a nutshell ,he slows us down and we lose tempo, end up chasing the opposition and playing as individuals. As individual as he may be ,we are a far better unit without him ,and that isn't just now its since hes been here.

Wasn't it Baxter's nicely weighted ball that opened the space for the cross for our second goal?

I like Baxter but I do think his failing is that he wants to show everyone how comfortable on the ball he is and how he's never rushed because he's too good for this league. Consequently, often when he should be playing a quick incisive through ball he's strutting about with a cigar on, trying to take the piss.
That said, he is by far most talented midfielder we have and does create some great chances, I just wish he'd do it with greater urgency, more frequently and play with a greater attacking intent.

Not sure it's a coincidence that our recent slight upturn in results have occurred whilst Baxter has been out of the team. I know it also coincided with Brayford and Long returning but really don't think we need him as much as he probably thinks we do. Most games he is very ineffective.

The same could be said of Scougall, but he gives us something we don't have and do need, which is energy and willingness to chase and close down from midfield. Only Sharp does something similar and that really shouldn't be his role.
Do think he will leave, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if both do, this January.

How's this turned into Baxter.

I don't think Harris will be renewed in the summer and might be another who gets the option to leave early.

Harris is a poor footballer its signings like him are the reason for where we are.

Please ignore my above message - to most it will seem baffling.

However I've just figured out that some of the clips posted by Alfreton14Blade aren't compatible with my internet browser and simply appear as blank messages.
