  • This week the Jay McEverly horrible foul wheel of fortune landed on 'dive in and miss both man and ball'.
  • We really know how to concede a good goal.
  • Playing Collins as an ad hoc centre forward towards the end was nice. It made a change to Higdon and Baxter - our ham hock centre forwards (I'll let myself out).
  • Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Give Sheffield United a Sammon and he'll have an absolute fucking mare.
  • Watching Jose Baxter try to run fast is infuriating, embarrassing and funny in equal measures.

Possibly the strongest first half performance all season (Sammon excluded).
And then a full reversion to the gutless, poncey, wimpy set of cunts we had to endure for the first three months of the season.

Sick and tired of watching us huff and puff to create half a chance and then the opposition get a goal with a few moves.

I think we deserved to win but there was a lot of negatives.

1.McCeverley did some very good things but he is a liability. He dives in because he knows he can't keep up with wingers if they skin him.
2.I thought Long should have got to the second one but I'll reserve real judgment till I see the replay.
3.We are stupidly slow. Unable to break fast and are often caught out by breaks from the opposition
4.Our refusal to shoot. We got into tons of great positions today with decent build up play but constantly chose the wrong option
5.Connor Sammon being totally ineffectual but not having an out and out striker on the bench to replace him
6.The way our midfield is ran though is cringe worthy at times.

Thought we played quite well. 3 well taken goals from posh aided and abetted by some awful defending and bad timing of them

Couldn't understand the subbing of Sammon for Baxter, although none of the subs influenced the game imo and Baxter when he first walked on to the pitch with his shirt tucked in looked like he'd eaten too much Xmas pud

I don't think we deserved to win after the 2nd half display. Didn't even look like scoring 2nd half. Surely the team who defend better and take their chances are the team that deserves to win? We weren't that team today.

Played some nice stuff today. Nobody can question Sharpe's commitment for the Club plays with a lot of heart and seems to bond well with the crowd. Could Long have done better although from the back of the kop looked to be 3 belting goals. Sucker punches, the last one was really hard to take, I had to leave the ground after their third goal I was completely gutted

Hammond escaped a stonewall yellow within the first 60 seconds of the game, presumably only because it's a soft ref that won't give it that early just to be inconsistent. Obviously gets booked later on, this is at least the second game now where he should have walked.

He did look,a bit portly. Their first goal, came after a long spell of possession football by them, seemed that our players were just thinking this is going nowhere and BANG 0-1 down. Our players seemed sluggish starting the second half and were nearly caught out straight away. Reallly disappointing to concede the 3rd so soon after scoring

Anyone who thinks we played well 2nd half is deluded ... We over complicated things going forward and defended like school boys.

Our midfield look like chess pieces. Each one only allowed to move in a certain direction (none of them forward or with any pace)

First half we played well but please note: only after went a goal down

Hammond and Brayford should give themselves a pat on the back for their defending for their 2nd and 3rd. Is there any wonder we have a soft underbelly. Bizarre substitution Baxter for Sammon !!!???. Jay Mac, stop fucking spoiling your performances by those rash tackles, which resulted in your being hooked today. Adkins already preparing us for a disappointing transfer window. If we do sign anybody it could be at the end of the transfer window, get away . Once again points won away from home reimbursed.

Peterboro were being hurt first half by Brayford and Coutts. Negated second half by an astute manager. Just wait for the United players to back off and allow you to walk the ball into the net, job done.

Thought we played some great stuff first half but poor defending gave them the lead against the run of play. Sammon was awful but we have no other option just now. I was a bit disappointed we went in at half time at 1-1. 2nd half we started very slowly Hammond backed off, backed off and backed off some more letting their player fire it into the top corner. I thought we were lucky to get back to 2-2 when the ball hit a posh player on the head as he was laid on the floor and trickled in. Virtually straight from the kick off we throw the game away backing off and not tackling yet again .................................... piss poor second half, we will be very fortunate to even reach the play off's this season. :(:(:(:(:(
Oh and by the sounds of Adkins interview we have to shift some before we can bring any in and that sounds like it might only be a loan till the end of the season at the back end of the JTW .................... we're fooked.

...I'm at mi wit's end...can see it just behind this pint :(

In a nutshell. I think the Blades surprised Posh in the first half with some very slick movement and passing - but with very little end result. Did Adkins seriously think that Posh wouldn't act to negate that? Sammon should not have reappeared for the second half. And was it wise to keep J C-R on the bench when it was obvious the Posh defence was jittery and Jamal could have made hay? As good as we looked in the first half, that's when the game was lost. Once again we proved unable to put a match to bed with indecisive finishing and lack of options up front.

I would have left Sammon on, Grafikhaus as I think poor as he was, he was better than Adams and Baxter. I would have liked to have seen JCR come on too, their left back was struggling against Billy so I'm sure JCR would have given him even more to think about.

we create loads of chances but we never bloody shoot. we always shift it to someone else. you have a shot. no you have a shot.. i don't want a shot i have no balls etc.. they had three half chances.. buried them.

The ball had gone out ,Hammond shouldn't have had to make the tackle ,McEveleys booking wasn't even a foul.

i think jMac was booked for persisitent fouling even though it wasn't a foul.. i didn't think any of them were fouls

Thought Coutts and Bash were our stand outs for us,although Bash had a couple of opportunities to shoot 2nd half but decided not to...Looked like like Edgar let the lad in behind for the first Posh goal against the run of play...The little no.10 for Posh ran things for them..Great save from Long at 2-1 diving to his right, would have been game over...not sure he could have done anything about the goals or not..willhave to see their goals again...the third looked a great finish to be fair, although surely we should have snuffed it out....overall,a draw would have been about right.

Number 4 mate, how many times did we have chances for players to just go for it, but instead, panicked and looked to pass (Woolford, who should have shot, to Basham, who should have shot, to Coutts, etc.) Their keeper was crap, we should have had two or three in.

Really pissed off today.

Second goal for them, Hammond shuffling backwards instead of steaming in and sticking a foot in to at least try and get the ball. That's it, just let him walk into our box.

Third goal for them, their player skipping around four of our players (can't call them defenders), and slotting one in.

Che Adams - get rid, woeful first touch, no pace for a youngster.

Jose Baxter - realising how much we have not missed him, another player we should off load.

Connor Sammon - yet another scuffed miss in front of goal, no urgency, meant Billy had to be the target/hold up man. Higdon would have been a much better option (seriously).

That was three points given away, especially after coming back to 2-2. Some good effort from some players, but if we are going to have Billy Sharp as the target man then we need to bring back Marc McNulty (a natural goal scorer/poacher) back.

If nothing positive happens in the JTW, then I will be really disappointed.

Still.......UTB

Today was the most frustrated I have been all season because there was a lot of good about our performances that counted for nothing due to such simple errors. I've been more despondent and angry this season but today was just excruciating because it wasn't just a point dropped, it was 3. We should have got all 3 points but ended up with none due to naivity

This is down to Adkins, we played all down the right and when Adams came on, he should have played from the left and kept Baxter up top. Sticking Baxter didn't work and he didn't change it. Baxter plays better from the centre of the pitch, and Adams from the left.

We need a quality striker/wide man. Anyone know what Murphy is up to as this game was calling out for him

Woolford ends up doing a great run, crosses in, Sammon scuffs it like a 10 year old with a bad case of nerves, playing in front of Mum and Dad for the first time.

Think the rhetoric from the club is it's unlikely that they'll be incoming movement until we cut the squad down from 40ish.

I suspect Flynn to Chesterfield could be a go-er but expect he'd have to take a big wage cut. Hopefully someone will take Higdon as well as he's out of contract in the summer. Again he'll be on 3 or 4 times what he'd get elsewhere so it's questionable whether he'd move unless he gets a 2-year deal.

Losing with Brighton, tho I take your point. Just like Blackman scored another for Reading. Cant look back, gotta look forward
