  • there's a feelgood factor
  • next game is the important one
  • at their place it was end to end, should be similarly entertaining Satdi
  • they play with a freedom of spirit
  • need to concentrate on the clean sheet bc we know we'll create chances
  • players are having a right go for each other*
  • 20-25' spell in the second half v Bradford is how he wants us to play
  • need to be resolute
  • Q: Is Man Utd a carrot? A: No. And carrots? Look sonny, are you calling my players donkeys by the way?**
  • it's all about the next game
  • good spirit amongst the players
  • all working hard
  • all need to stick together
  • first 5' at Scunthorpe is also how I want us to play - that really was the best football of the season, you can see on the highlights we create two good chances and then Billy scores, looks like 15-20' of a decent performance, it wasn't: Billy scored after 5', the other two chances came before then, that was Division 2 football at least
  • we can improve but we need to stick together
I think this is the way it will be - a lot of repeated messages in this case spirit, consistency of selection, focus on the next game, working hard

Amateur Internet Psychologising follows: The stick together part may refer to edginess in the crowd. A lot of the fans have been in Division 3 with the team for 5½ years, and when someone loses the ball, or misplaces a pass there's a kind of fear of, or frustration at, here we go again. As fans we really want to get out of here and maybe for some of us we've reached the stage where for some of us when the slightest thing goes wrong it's a reminder of everything else that's gone wrong. Who knows?

I think if we continue to see things heading in the right direction the crowd will be less stressed/more forgiving. Ideally the crowd could take lead but I think it's a two way street of swings and roundabouts and we shouldn't put the cart before the horse, or donkey. Ole.

*Apart from Collins and Baxter who are having a right go at each other ;)

Not seen a thread about tomorrow's team, but if Done is not playing I hope he puts Baxter in up top and play a similar role that Forrestiri plays for the pigs
