I don't believe it

I like the fact that he's banned them, his choice.

It's the element of this sort of debate where someone ends up telling everyone else to do the same that's just a tiny bit fascistic, isn't it?

I know, right? How are we supposed to conform and look the same if people wear different things?

I thought this stupid thread had been put to bed last night ,8 pages on this is amazing must be some bored blades around.
I love it when people keep coming back to threads to point out that they, and the people posting on them, are daft.

:)

I was looking for a thread about the game (for those who don't know we're playing Bradford today) to make my prediction that we won't keep a clean sheet but there isn't one.

With this and the eternal kit threads, if we're honest I reckon we're more of a clothing forum.

Play with words all you want, you said posters had said people shouldn't express opinions which simply isn't true. A pretty standard internet claim at times to be honest, regardless of the facts. The thread was laughable IMO because of some of the overly dramatic comments made. Such as your "attack" comment above and "hatred" Oh and calling people c**ts and twats.
All reasonable?
You're the one playing with words, several people, you being the main one, have attacked the fact that an opinion has been made, insulting the person for having the opinion. Yes, your verbal abuse is an attack on people, that's what it means. As for your question, is it reasonable to call people "c**ts and twats"? No, it isn't.
If you don't like that, then why wade in in a similar vein? You could easily have said what you said without resorting to the provocative, abusive language that you did.

Why didn't you start one?

My reaction was also one of (admittedly probably disproportionate!) anger when I saw the club was selling these. Similar to how I feel every time someone with a southern accent phones Talksport to spout on about Man U/Liverpool! They do make us look small time and like we've accepted our lowly status as the norm.

However, as we have our Worcester friend on here I was wondering how he would have felt if they had got past us and Oldham and it was them going to Old Trafford would he have the same negative feelings towards them or maybe have been tempted to buy one? Also, did Worcester produce any Worcester/Blades half and half scarves for their trip to Bramall Lane?!

Imagine if a miracle happens and we storm through the leagues and get to the Prem and win that place in the Europa League for fair play or whatever it is and Real Madrid happen to have a bad season and end up in the Europa and play us! What would be the reaction to a Blades/Real half and half scarf? Have to admit I'd probably buy one!

Good questions!

If it had been Worcester going to Old Trafford rather than than your good selves...hmm my immediate response is no i wouldnt buy a scarf thats half and half, i just couldnt bring myself to wear something that puke enducingly cringeworthy and i'd hope our club shop lot would think of something classier to mark what would be our biggest game in history. If they made a scarf that was 100% all Worcesters blue and white colours with the club name across, then underneath a line saying 'FA Cup 10th January 2016 at Old Trafford' then yes i would buy one as that is a classy slightly understated way of marking the occasion and you could carry on wearing it without feeling a twat afterwards rather than sheepishly chucking it in your wardrobe!

I wasnt aware of anything done for the Blades game and didnt see any stuff being sold on the side for it either...it was the same with last years run as well with Coventry and Scunny. There was blue and white stuff being sold like flags and jester hats but they didnt have anything on to designate the occasion, many were just happy to buy the new updated club scarf or a plain old traditional blue and white stripey one like your gran wouldve knitted for christmas many moons ago!

So most people you'd have seen would be attired like this.. (Scary picture alert of some funny Worcester folk)

I'm kinda surprised we havent maximised the chance to exploit the money you could generate by making such stuff given our current financial position etc but i'm glad we havent sold ourselves completely to the football marketting devils!

We're all still waiting for the DVD to come out of the win at Coventry because that would be amazing to relive and replay from time to time so theyre definitely missing out on a wad of money there!

We did make these celebratory mugs though :D
