To the bar maid in The Byron tonight.
She was a glamour puss who looked a bit out of place. Looking at the bar I asked what Bradfield Belgian Blue was like. She said its a bit stronger, sweeter but popular and came out blue in colour. She poured a glass for someone else and it came out purple.
I said thats purple love and she said yes that's the way it is now.
I said Im really glad as I couldn't put anything blue in my mouth. She said she couldn't neither and that would be horrible and then gave me a salacious Christmas wink.
The Great traditional bar maid is not as dead as some may say.
