Yes he should be. Hopefully he'll get better as time goes on and earn himself a contract, although I also hope it'd only be a year as he's getting on a bit.

Adkins/Hammond might be our version of Ferguson/Keane minus the Purple Nose/Madman tendencies.

I think we're staking a lot on him, both in footballing and financial terms. I trust Adkins' judgment but I wish I'd seen more on-field evidence of what he brings. There were very good signs.last Satdi. Let's hope there's more to come.

He would be a free in the summer - good job, as his experience in Division 2 will be very useful next season.

Bang on the mark Barney but there are few on here who will admit it. We've all seen enough of Hammond to know he's not up to the mark and if he's on the wages that are rumoured then it's an insult to even think of keeping him on.

in good form at the moment can see that hes there to pick up the ball in midfield like basham is whereas baxter and coutts are there to make those killer passes
