Is it just me that thinks that a bloke who thinks that it's smart to have an avatar of a dog with a dildo in it's gob and who starts a rather stupid poll on the day that a Blades legend dies is rather sick?

Anyway..so long as his ego is suitably massaged and he has a warm glow that is all that matters

The death of Alan Hodgkinson and the poll aren't directly linked.

I was poking a bit of fun regarding a couple of polls that had been posted recently with a few random options and I thought I would join in the fun.

I'd love to know what is wrong with my avatar though?

I'm more offended by the bent cat on his

The bit below everything I post. My signature, as it were. It's there, somewhere.
Aah. I've only just realised that when viewing on a phone, you only see that bit at the bottom when holding it sideways (landscape).

I am quite worried by a few facts here;

Falconer and Carr are few to play for the Blades in the Prem, Whitlow was at United when we topped the Championship for a spell, Graham Stuart reached a cup semi final, Brian Howard scored a couple of vital goals in his first season with us and made it to a play off final.

Only Tony McMahon played for us in the 3rd tier?
Pikey played for us in Div 3, scored a wonderful goal in a 5 1 drubbing of Swansea city in May 89, just a game before promotion secured v Wolves.
Fuck me, wish we had a few with Pikes passion now.

The thing that always occurs to me whenever I see one of these polls listing Uniteds run of the mill players from times gone by is that, yes they may not have been the most successful, they may have been absolutely shit, but every one of them can say they've played for Sheffield United, ran out at Bramall Lane and played in front of a 20,000 plus crowd.

I know I'd give almost anything, to say I had :(
They wont all have played in front of 20,000, that is a fairly recent resurrection of the good crowds of the past.

Even if you were crap? I wouldn't. I'd have rather played for other clubs than to have played for us and be thought of like Marcus Williams, Guthrie or any of the others that frequently get mentioned in shit player lists.

Given the obvious sarcasm of the OP I'm struggling to understand why Graham Stuart is on that list. He was a very good player....at the lane and anywhere else he played.

Lee Baxter was the best player I ever saw turn out for us. It's always tough to choose between him and Axel Smeets.

Graham Stuart wasn't that bad was he?

I thought he was decent for us, always felt he was he was a level above and that's why Kendall got him in, ready for the next level, unfortunately we never got there and he went to Charlton, who were there, and if memory serves me well he was a good player for them.

How fast did Ugo Become a fan favourite while we are on it?
I'm sure he was in great form until he got sent off at Barnsley, Blackwell was interviewed and said if Ugo could play like he did at 33 (approx...) then it was no surprise that he was capped for England in his prime.

I recall his name being sung on the kop for about 10 minutes at home v Preston.
